It's sad that that many people can't see through David Barton's lies and distortions. All I can say is follow his footnotes and read the original documents yourself. See if he is telling the truth. Read Chris Rodda's ''Liars for Jesus'' and go to her website for many of the original documents.
David Barton is one of the most depraved despicable scumbag in America. But in fairness, Huckabee was saying this in jest, a joke that went flat. Nonetheless, that Huckabee would think this remark would be funny to his shithead audience and a few laughed says a lot.
Plus in Christianity its a sin to forcibly convert someone or to even hate. (Love thy enemy) But i disagree with what Huckabee said about forcing it on us.
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Mussolini, and many more are responsible for more death and destruction then all the people who died from ALL religeous wars. Infact Hitler alone killed more people then the Muslim and Chriatian crusades alone. All of these people were atheists!
@Silver00Coin Actually Hilter was a Roman catholic. Facts have been confirmed. BTW atheist don't have a dogma, where religion does. To be an atheist is just answer the question "do you believe god" with a "no." Thats all it is to be an atheist. Hence comparing leaders like stalin who didn't want share their power with religion, is like comparing heron addiction to drinking milk.
@Boudiga No. One's a professional biologist, and the other is a journalist; if they know what they're talking about, I wonder what the other atheist philosophers (and experts) know. Well, I do know this -- they sure do like to criticize Ditchkins.
The only reason people like you read them is because you're satisfied with simple diatribes against religion, they write at a popular level, and you're not intellectually curious enough to read more advanced/scholarly works.
@BraunBrothers 1. I read Dawkins on biology and rarely do I read or watch Hichens. 2. I study on my own about religion, I read the whole bible. 3. I'm not an atheist. Just not a christian.
Unlike Barton, I go by facts, not by what I want the facts to be. If I sound like Dawkins and or Hitchens its because we found the same information and came to similar conclusions. So try again.
@Boudiga You commented on religion/philosophy. Then I implied that you've been reading/watching a little too much Hitchens/Dawkins. Then your reply implied that you had indeed been listening/reading their material (when we were on the topic of "religion"). You can say whatever you want -- or make any disclaimer -- but is sure sounds like you're lying. But maybe you're not...
Also, reading the whole Bible isn't exactly doing research or reading scholarly material by professors today.
@BraunBrothers No I commented on lies said atheist. Not the same. I didn't talk about a religion except that Hilter was catholic. When listening to Dawkins not so much Hitchens, I often listen and read his biological research and education. Not the topic of religion. Hence your comment doesn't apply by my answer. BTW I've studied several religions not just the bible. I also made a point to study up on hebrew culture. So yet again, you merely assume rather than ask.
@Boudiga Well I will gladly take your word for it then. But in my defense, it seemed as though you DID comment on religion/philosophy... blah blah blah (look at my above post).
@BraunBrothers Hey do you know whats really awesome? That you were cool enough to admit a mistake. That really is. It says a lot about character and is not a sign of weakness but strength. I understand the confusion. Its totally cool. I don't have an issue with religion, I only have an issue when the religious either lie about history, science, facts, etc... and will often try to change laws to suit religious needs. Thats really the core of my issue. Other than that, believe what you want.
@BraunBrothers I know you've resolved this dispute with Boudiga already, but you try and speak with some degree of intellectual and moral authority so I have to ask - what exactly about his response encouraged you to assume that his answers were ripped from Dawkins and Hitchens? I detected nothing of the sort - he was speaking pure truth. Where's your beef?
Absolutely unbelievable!!! I just can't believe that people still believe in god!!! Do they believe in Santa too? It's the same story, just told by other idiots that had NO CLUE what science is!!! The world would be a peaceful, loving place without religion! Just imagine being accountable for EVERYTHING you do, instead of "preying" on someone else to save them from their own doing!!!!
The not-so-funny part of this is that if Huckabee and the Far Right were to take control of the nation, that gunpoint requirement would actually be adopted. While neither extreme is healthy for the nation, we have more to fear from a fundamentalist religious theocracy than we ever had from a liberal government. They blatantly violate the First Amendment. That's about as unpatriotic and radical as you can get, recklessly ignoring our Founding Fathers' intent for the new nation.
as an atheist, i'm surprised. not at huckabee and his predictable and obvious tongue in cheek comment, but that some of you people think that was inciting violence. are you people crazy? it was a freaking joke!
@chulavista91 Usually when you make jokes, the punchline isn't forcing an entire country to listen to a mad man in order to better the people, and usually people laugh at jokes instead of going "Mmmhm! Yeah! *clap clap clap*".
I fail to see how that would be effective. Being forced to watch Dave Barton at gunpoint would not magically cause his transparent, easily disprovable lies to become true.
"Joke" (Noun) "Something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act: He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him."
You have to know the these people are frightened by nature and are reactionary. Look at how the how GOP mobilized, or more accurately, hijacked the Tea Party and all the vile hatred towards people of color and people who are not Christian. No my friend, it's not really taken out of context even though he did it jokingly. The reaction to his statement is far more telling. Remember, fascism will come with a friendly face and everyone will say "oh he's such a nice guy".
Jesus Christ, is he serious? Surely it must have been taken out of context or something because I don't genuinely believe the GOP would go THAT far, could it?

@i2eye I don't think it's the GOP rather more the Dominionists who are the driving force behind this. I'd be suspicious of ANY Dominionist, whether hard or soft, who hold a public office.
What makes the radical Christian right any different than radical Muslims pushing for Sharia law? Nothing. Muslims and Christians both have the same theocratic agenda. Both talk of using violence to reach their goals and both hate democracy and seek to replace the constitution with their so called holy books.
? Full employment. 1/4'th the deficit. Remains silent while Gomer still blames him. Nice try. Don't work. You guys ran the show the last 2 years. Prepare to move over. Cut taxes. Drill for oil. Release liberty and watch it rev up the engine of Democracy. Your side boasts of saving lives in Libya but ignore the millions saved by Bush in Iraq. 8.8% unemployment? Yeah. Right......Go play some golf or basketball. Let the adults run the show. How's Fanny and Freddie now? Gitmoanyone?
yeah the right is SOOO much better. How did your last pres do? oh wait he allowed the economy to collapse and started 2 of the longest wars in american history in the middle east
Why do liberals hate so much? Obviously Democrats. Vulgar. Rude. And prepared for major defeat at the polls. The good guys are getting ready to take over.
yeah the right is SOOO much better. How did your last pres do? oh wait he allowed the economy to collapse and started 2 of the longest wars in american history in the middle east
I am stunned that this comment was stated in front of a video camera. I wonder if he could be prosecuted for inciting violence. Have you ever heard a government official attack freedom more openly? Fascism is defined as a radical, authoritarian nationalist political ideology. Religious belief in fascist ideals by government officials represents a clear and present danger to my liberty. DO NOT TREAD ON ME! If you attempt to, you will get bit.
@arammu27 It may be criminal under the Patriot act ironically. A lawyer would have to look into it. Although not enough judges to side with liberal/progressive attorney. This may be a terrorist threat like the poor man who was gunned down for not swearing allegiance to Ghadaffi on that video on cable news a few days ago. I think Mike is evil and isolated and always says bullshit around the media but is a Christo-fascist at heart around his Conservatard friends.
'he has that mentality of take the bible and apply it to every aspect of the culture'-yes, that is huckabee. he has said that america is an xtian country with its borders defined by god. he is 2 faced, taking a very positive 'xtian'attitude to palin's kids's out of wedlock pregnancy, but demeaning others for the same thing. he pardoned a convict who was then charged with multiple burglaries, child molestation, & was finally killed in a shoot-out after he shot some cops. repub frontrunner-2012!
And if you begin rounding up people at gunpoint and forcing them into David Barton Indoctrination Camps, you know that you'll have to shoot the ones who resist - right, Mr. Presidential Hopeful? You will have to shoot the ones who refuse.
"Never let yourself be persuaded that any one Great Man, any one leader, is necessary to the salvation of America. When America consists of one leader and 158 million followers, it will no longer be America." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
And I don't buy the line that "he's just joking". Because he keeps going in his earnest endorsement of this idea - that David Barton is so full of undeniable, inescapable, irrefutable TRUTH that America would best be served by rounding up people at gunpoint and forcing them to listen - because the "TRUTH" would then become so obvious to them that they could not help but fall in line and support the New Christian Order. He follows this guy so very blindly. THAT is the scariest part.
Well he's right, it would take a gun to my head for me to believe someone else's false accounts of American history. We're a secular nation, always have been and always will be bitches.
@zoensl Nor is 'liberal' a point of insult. Conservative isn't a point of insult either for that matter. Everyone's a little liberal in some ways and a little conservative in others. They're just handy reference points of the political spectrum - they really don't have a direct relation to reality. People who view liberal/conservative with the xenophobia normally reserved for insane sports team fans are putting the cart before the horse so to speak. Argue to solve problems, not shun others.
The real reason they hate Sharia Law is not because it's brutal or repressive or abusive to women - and it is - the real reason they hate Sharia Law is because it's competition with the brutal, repressive, abusive Levitical Law they want so badly to force Americans to live under. Tyranny despises competition.
@MarxDudek The Conservative whine about oppression in Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela has always been rooted in the fact that they weren't the ones oppressing those people. They have always, always, advocated the same kinds of oppression to be used against their political opponents at home.
@Pangolinx1 The same conservatives whining about oppression in those countries are hypocrites....let's be fair though - nothing wrong with being vocal against tyranny in those places...the problem is they used their whining to push policies that would advance their own agenda rather than address the tyranny of those places. The hypocrisy, in that regard, comes primarily from the history of republicans strong support of tyrannical right-wing regimes in foreign countries, often installed by us!
@BunchesBundles77 Oh it's around. Most of my friends are religious, of many different religions, and I'm an atheist - we all get along just fine. Generally the best way to get along with people of different/no religion is to accept that everyone with a love for humanity is basically good at heart, and no ill will should come on them for having different spiritual beliefs or lack thereof.
I never wanted Huckabee as a president. But he always seemed like a decent sort. Self-effacing, good sense of humor. What the hell happened to him? Oh, wait, Fox happened, right. And what "horror stories" in American text books is he talking about? I can bear to listen to the rest of the speech. Sickening.
Well, this will solidify Mike Huckabee's backing among the Teabaggers... they are all about having the government force people to do things at gunpoint. Now Mike Huckabee is unstoppable in his 2012 presidential campaign! Why? Because if you disagree with him, he'll have you shot!
you give me a 5 second piece, obviously cut, devoid of any context where he calls for the death of the republican party, the party not people, and you equate that with the palin crosshairs and any number of real attacks on abortion providers or marchers in martin luthor king parades or Timothy Mcfae. When reality doesn't agree with a philosophy it becomes a cult.
..and...you just couldn't help but to resort to school yard insults.
you give me a 5 second piece, obviously cut devoid of any context where he calls for the death of the republican party, the party not peaple, and you equate that with the palin crosshairs and any number of real attacks on abortion providers or marchers in martin luthor king parades or Timothy Mcfae. When reality doesn't agree with a philosophy it becomes a cult.
..and...you just couldn't help but to resort to school yard insults.
@snarkishone The reason that this piece sits "out of context" with the larger conference is that it was EDITED OUT OF THE REBROADCAST by the sponsors of the conference. The only reason that it exists is because someone had the foresight to record the live stream. Otherwise, this would have gone down the memory hole.
Huckabee, you can try and come at me with your gun, and I will take it away from you and shove it up your ass AND THEN I WILL PULL THE TRIGGER! Is that clear enough for you?
It's so good that the videos that are promoting religious ideas have most dislikes than likes. It's time to base our societies upon rationality, reason, science, human wellbeing and reality, not divine retribution. Secular humanism it's growing and u just gotta start 2 accept it!
I'm sorry, you must possess the ability to time travel, because I live in 2011, not 1600. And so would all of the Christians who would live around me. Your idea of Christians burning pagans/wiccans/et al. at the stake is archaic and embarrassing. For clarification, I call myself a Pagan for lack of a better term, and I get along with Christians far better than I do with athiests. I've even gone to service and recieved communion. Now I will return to my Amon Amarth.
So, Ayatollah Huckabee thinks that everyone should be 'forced at gunpoint' to listen to some fraudulent God-bothering douchebag's falsified vision of early American history? No thanks, Mikey. Joke or not, it's not what a possibly aspiring Presidential candyass - er, candidate says where the cameras might be rolling.
Oh, and 'gunpoint?' I got a couple of my own, and if you try to indoctrinate me, you'll have a quarrel on your hands, you purulent Arkansan rapist-pardoner.
@WalterReimer Nicely said. Exactly Correct. Exactly! This is a wannabe Ayatollah. And this wing-nut wants to be President? he's obviously delusional. At gunpoint? I'm up in the hills and I DARE him to come here and try to get me to do ANYTHING at gunpoint. We'll both have fun. And, while h may have thought it was humor, rest assured, it was not. And 'truer things are said in jest, goes the saying. And it always seems to be correct. Be warned, Huckabee is dangerous.
Chuckles is clearly joking people, calm down. This idea about some "evangelical conspiracy" is an even bigger joke than global warming. By the by, I consider myself a Pagan, and would, by far, much rather live with these Bible believers than the posters in the other comments, filled with bile and scorn, that have this knee-jerk reaction against folks that believe in the Bible. To those who thought he was serious, you're a bigger punch-line than Obama's birth certificate.
@BurningRebelFire And you're not a Pagan.... Because if you were, those "Bible believers" you so like would be calling openly for you to be put on a pyre. If they don't say it to your face, they certainly are saying it to your back. "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" and all that jazz...
While that wasn't a serious policy proposal, it wasn't a joke, either. It was a fantasy. He really wants the USA to be a Christian theocracy. Not funny.
"...bigger joke than global warming."
We're depleting our natural resources and screwing up our climate at the same time. Hilarious.
"...a bigger punch-line than Obama's birth certificate."
Did you hear the one about the difference between a COLB and a birth certificate? There isn't one! Ha-ha!
And zionists want the world to be controlled by jews, no suprise. Muslims want to world run by Sharia law, no suprise. Christians want a christian theocracy, and people get all indignant. Athiests want the world run by a Ducheocracy. Global warming is an entirely seperate subject, but like the "Christian Conspiracy" it is a hoax. Did you hear the one about Obama's illegal alien aunt in Boston telling everyone he was born in Kenya!? It's a crack-up!
@BurningRebelFire That's like going into a bank dressed as a clown with a "joke" AK-47. Honestly, Judge, I was surprised as everyone could be when they handed me all that money.
Bullshit. He's done, or he would be if the U.S. had any balls.
I wish all Americans who believe in the bullshit false version of evangelical Christianity that Huckabee belives in would be shot in the head with a gun, I think America would be much better off, not to mention the world.
These losers worship Jews and Israel, they have been led astary from teh real meaning of Christianity, they are scum, they are a stain on teh world, and jesus hates them
@sauce1101 if you haven't noticed at events like this people cheer everything. He could say Twinkies are the cure to everything! and they would applaud
How scary! The biggest threat to the USA way of life is not coming from terrorists in the middle east, it is coming from these UnAmerican groups that want to take your right to life, liberty and the pursue of happiness away. More and more, I belive that these individuals want the destruction of America.
Too bad american can say fuck you. Young people? Propaganda. I do not need your imaginary friend to realize the truth. Christianity is an archaic tradition. Christians hardly have a grasp of how their church came to be. Its all bible mythologies. Nothing about Constantine. Romans. Inquisition. Salem witch trials. Millions have died in their name of salvation. Christianity became the worst of what a blue-collar, Hebrew was warning everyone about. & the best they got is "I know better" ploy
@TheCBGBoy : jeez boy, you need a life. was calling for bush to be killed a threat to american life? i bet you were just as upset about that too werent you? LOL yeah i bet you were. hypocrite.
@TheCBGBoy LOL what was unamerican? callin you on your hypocrisy? HMM? I served in the military for 25 years boy while you whanked off to fantasy girls you will never meet? pathetic.
@uzimodem Fuck CBGBoy!! ANY jackass whom calls ANYONE 'UnAmerican' is a Cunt-Hair away from Amoeba-Like Intelligence. That prick is obviously a Right-Wing, Republican, Country-Loving Redneck. Most likely a Racist too. [>:-O
@ybcool LOL well, again I ask you...where in my comments did I say "Unamerican?" i know it is hard for dipshits like you to read and concentrate at the same time, but do give it a try okay BOY? LOL pathetic.
@uzimodem That's actually a really good idea, considering what the US does impacts EVERYONE. I agree that this is an attempt at humor, however, it's in very bad taste and it belies his true beliefs. I think he actually DOES think that people should listen to this scumbag at gunpoint.
@DrKuha LOL dude, I could quote so MANY Libturd bullshit in relation to this topic that would make this PALE in comparison. Dont be a hypocrite. All sides say stupid things. Google it and you will see. Get real dude.
you won't because you can't, and then you'll fall back on the right wings last ditch defense; name calling, made up "facts" with no sources provided(Glen Beck doesn't count)
@snarkishone :you should know. as a libturd you guys always throw shit out there with NO Facts. so dont even go there boy. Like all the libturds blaming the Tea Party for the shootings in Arizona without one scintilla or particle of proof. Mike Malloy (one hardly anyone listens too) calling for the deaths of Republicans etc etc. So many to mention, and those CAN BE FOUND WITH VIDEO and PICTURES AND TEXT. so I guess the crickets and deafening silence didnt occur on this end, maybe on yours:-)
@uzimodem Regressives like you always like to pull the 'two wrongs make a right' fallacy whenever backed into a corner on violent hate speech. Unfortunately your counter-examples are weaksauce - Mike Malloy used the term 'execute' figuratively and this becomes clear the moment you hear the full context of his on the air speech, as he's talking about the republican party rather than human beings in response to the suicide rates of US troops. Meanwhile George Tiller basically had fatwas on him.
@HisEmptyHouse :LOL your funny....but then libturds can say what they want no matter how offensive and excuse them for it. liberalism surely is a mental disorder. sickening. go back to your pussy therapist and dont comment unless you know what the hell your talking about boy.
@uzimodem The comparisons you offer don't compare to the cases of right wing threats. All you have been able to offer in return is namecalling cliches that make you come across as a carbon copy of the average free republic poster. (Honestly, who says 'libtard'?) Since you have failed to offer a counter-argument for your case and have fallen back on namecalling I'm going to assume you've conceded to my and other people's points. Act like a child and you will be regarded as one, uzimodem.
@HisEmptyHouse Not a child and not going to EVEN try to delve into "libturd" logic. And I havent conceded anything since none of your comments have proven anything since they are same old tired Saul ALinksy talking points you libtruds always use. So CHILD, quit with the old "Script" and find a new one.
@uzimodem Failing to engage counter-argument and repeating the same fallacious logic, you automatically concede to other people. This is basic argumentative reasoning. You made a 'two wrongs make a right' fallacy, and didn't even have good examples in it. Your equivocation is crude and wrong - you need to come up with a better reasoned argument. Stop pre-judging people as 'libturds.' I can't stand the fringe violent leftwing eco-terrorists who commit arson and issue death threats for one.
@HisEmptyHouse :hmm, you talk alot but your say little. In terms of continuity and coherence. And yes, eco terrorists are leftists and belong to the "libturds".
@uzimodem Only 500 words of space on youtube so i can only say so much. I suggest you not try to lump all liberals together - I am liberal, and I can't stand anyone who makes death threats or uses violence, regardless of what end of the political spectrum they are on. If eco-terrorism was a bigger mainstream issue it might be relevant here though - but as it is we've had a lot of problems with violent rhetoric from the right bleeding into mainstream. Decent right wingers have even denounced it.
@HisEmptyHouse : the left always takes the lead in that rhetoric. one hour AFTER the shootings in Arizona, the LEFT proclaimed that the right, Sarah Palin & the Tea Party was at fault. The left dismissed Nadal Hassan committed a terrorist act in the Fort Hood Shootings, this is what left does, You may not do these things, but your fellow liberals do and I dare say are much more vicious and hateful then the right has ever committed. And yes, I despise hate on both spectrums as well.
@uzimodem Knee-jerk reactions and finger-pointing are human reactions to tragedy - people always want to find something to blame.
Also the general conclusion among most lefties was the the shooter in Arizona was a lone nut. However the discussion it prompted about violent dog-whistle rhetroic was invaluable. Suggesting 'second amendment solutions' to politicians who one disagrees with is in very poor taste, for example.
Nadal Hassan is a bit more complex and the left was never on his side.
@Pangolinx1 : well, coming from someone like you I would re-phrase your comment from starting off "offensive" to asking a legimate and coherent question with out the negatives. But, that is too much to ask from a frothing at the mouth libturd. But try anyway boy.
@uzimodem Argument? Anything? An actual quote from an actual viable presidential candidate or Democratic office holder at the level of Governor, Congressman or above. One that calls for holding Conservatives at gunpoint and indoctrinating them.
@Pangolinx1 :Barney Frank on Bill Maher show, saying a bomb was wasted by not using it on Dick Cheney, Rhandi Rhodes on her radio show saying and using "gunshots" for effect about shooting Bush, Wanda Sykes wishing Rush Limbaugh would die of kidney failure, Liberal talk show host Charles Bouley on his show live saying with expletives he wanted "Joe the Plumber" dead. Libturd, you worthless sacks of shit are experts at this vile spew. But hey, most of it was said in the context of a "joke'. LOL

"Never let yourself be persuaded that any one Great Man, any one leader, is necessary to the salvation of America. When America consists of one leader and 158 million followers, it will no longer be America." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
MarxDudek 11 months ago 3
And I don't buy the line that "he's just joking". Because he keeps going in his earnest endorsement of this idea - that David Barton is so full of undeniable, inescapable, irrefutable TRUTH that America would best be served by rounding up people at gunpoint and forcing them to listen - because the "TRUTH" would then become so obvious to them that they could not help but fall in line and support the New Christian Order.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
The real reason they hate Sharia Law is not because it's brutal or repressive or abusive to women - and it is - the real reason they hate Sharia Law is because it's competition with the brutal, repressive, abusive Levitical Law they want so badly to force Americans to live under. Tyranny despises competition.
MarxDudek 11 months ago 2
@MarxDudek The Conservative whine about oppression in Russia, Cuba, and Venezuela has always been rooted in the fact that they weren't the ones oppressing those people. They have always, always, advocated the same kinds of oppression to be used against their political opponents at home.
Pangolinx1 11 months ago
@Pangolinx1 The same conservatives whining about oppression in those countries are hypocrites....let's be fair though - nothing wrong with being vocal against tyranny in those places...the problem is they used their whining to push policies that would advance their own agenda rather than address the tyranny of those places. The hypocrisy, in that regard, comes primarily from the history of republicans strong support of tyrannical right-wing regimes in foreign countries, often installed by us!

@snarkishone The reason that this piece sits "out of context" with the larger conference is that it was EDITED OUT OF THE REBROADCAST by the sponsors of the conference. Chuckles is clearly joking people, calm down. This idea about some "evangelical conspiracy" is an even bigger joke than global warming. Mike Malloy (one hardly anyone listens too) calling for the deaths of Republicans etc etc. So many to mention, and those CAN BE FOUND WITH VIDEO and PICTURES AND TEXT. so I guess the crickets and deafening silence didnt occur on this end, maybe on yours:-)
uzimodem 11 months ago
@uzimodem Regressives like you always like to pull the 'two wrongs make a right' fallacy whenever backed into a corner on violent hate speech. Unfortunately your counter-examples are weaksauce - Mike Malloy used the term 'execute' figuratively and this becomes clear the moment you hear the full context of his on the air speech, as he's talking about the republican party rather than human beings in response to the suicide rates of US troops. Meanwhile George Tiller basically had fatwas on him.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
@HisEmptyHouse :LOL your funny....but then libturds can say what they want no matter how offensive and excuse them for it. liberalism surely is a mental disorder. sickening. go back to your pussy therapist and dont comment unless you know what the hell your talking about boy.
uzimodem 11 months ago
@uzimodem The comparisons you offer don't compare to the cases of right wing threats. All you have been able to offer in return is namecalling cliches that make you come across as a carbon copy of the average free republic poster. (Honestly, who says 'libtard'?) Since you have failed to offer a counter-argument for your case and have fallen back on namecalling I'm going to assume you've conceded to my and other people's points. Act like a child and you will be regarded as one, uzimodem.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
@HisEmptyHouse Not a child and not going to EVEN try to delve into "libturd" logic. And I havent conceded anything since none of your comments have proven anything since they are same old tired Saul ALinksy talking points you libtruds always use. So CHILD, quit with the old "Script" and find a new one.
uzimodem 11 months ago
@uzimodem Failing to engage counter-argument and repeating the same fallacious logic, you automatically concede to other people. This is basic argumentative reasoning. You made a 'two wrongs make a right' fallacy, and didn't even have good examples in it. Your equivocation is crude and wrong - you need to come up with a better reasoned argument. Stop pre-judging people as 'libturds.' I can't stand the fringe violent leftwing eco-terrorists who commit arson and issue death threats for one.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
@HisEmptyHouse :hmm, you talk alot but your say little. In terms of continuity and coherence. And yes, eco terrorists are leftists and belong to the "libturds".
uzimodem 11 months ago
@uzimodem Only 500 words of space on youtube so i can only say so much. I suggest you not try to lump all liberals together - I am liberal, and I can't stand anyone who makes death threats or uses violence, regardless of what end of the political spectrum they are on. If eco-terrorism was a bigger mainstream issue it might be relevant here though - but as it is we've had a lot of problems with violent rhetoric from the right bleeding into mainstream. Decent right wingers have even denounced it.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
@HisEmptyHouse : the left always takes the lead in that rhetoric. one hour AFTER the shootings in Arizona, the LEFT proclaimed that the right, Sarah Palin & the Tea Party was at fault. The left dismissed Nadal Hassan committed a terrorist act in the Fort Hood Shootings, this is what left does, You may not do these things, but your fellow liberals do and I dare say are much more vicious and hateful then the right has ever committed. And yes, I despise hate on both spectrums as well.
uzimodem 11 months ago
@uzimodem Knee-jerk reactions and finger-pointing are human reactions to tragedy - people always want to find something to blame.
Also the general conclusion among most lefties was the the shooter in Arizona was a lone nut. However the discussion it prompted about violent dog-whistle rhetroic was invaluable. Suggesting 'second amendment solutions' to politicians who one disagrees with is in very poor taste, for example.
Nadal Hassan is a bit more complex and the left was never on his side.
HisEmptyHouse 11 months ago
@uzimodem Do you actually have a reality based argument or are you reduced to frothing at the mouth insults.
Pangolinx1 11 months ago
@Pangolinx1 : well, coming from someone like you I would re-phrase your comment from starting off "offensive" to asking a legimate and coherent question with out the negatives. But, that is too much to ask from a frothing at the mouth libturd. But try anyway boy.
uzimodem 11 months ago

LOL
