I don't see what the problem is? Checking a drivers licence or other citizenship paper takes like a couple of minutes. Especially if the electronic infrastructure is improved. It seems to me to be very minor.

If Obama was George W Bush he would have given Van Jones a promotion and a medal of honor or something, and that was one of the things we hated about him. There already was a provision in the bill preventing federal funds from going to illegal immigrants. From what I understand, the provision they're adding now will prevent illegals from being able to buy insurance; as in, use their own money, with no effect on us at all. I don't see why that's necessary, and I bet it still won't stop the Republicans from spouting off bullshit.
Obama and the democrats just have to stop paying attention to the republicans who are stupid enough to go out of their way and embarrass themselves much like Wilson did and stop giving oil to the squeeky wheel.

Though there was in 3200 some language saying that Illegals we're ineligible for the public option there is no enforcement mechanism, and the dems would not allow an enforcement mechanism. Furthermore, according to the CRS, since the bill language and the language the IRS would use to "qualify" people was incompatible; and would, according other wording in the bill, "REQUIRE" that such people buy coverage. Illegal immigrants shouldn't even receive health care at all. THEY ARE ILLEGAL. They are not supposed to be here so get them out. treat them if you must, but detain and deport simple as that

I don't see what the problem is? Checking a drivers licence or other citizenship paper takes like a couple of minutes. Especially if the electronic infrastructure is improved. It seems to me to be very minor.
A debate can be made whether it is politically smart or not, but this is about what is in the bill not personalities.

If Obama was George W Bush he would have given Van Jones a promotion and a medal of honor or something, and that was one of the things we hated about him. If Obama acts like Bush, how can that be a good thing? Van Jones is a bright individual and would have probably done an outstanding job, but he did say some pretty dumb things in the past and that is that. As for illegals paying, how the hell do you expect someone who isn't even supposed to be here to pay? That makes no sense.

I think if they make a tiny change that asks for ID to show where you come from before you use everyones tax dollars is a positive thing. We don't have that now and illegals take advantage. So that tiny change could deter us from losing more money to people that don't pay taxes. It's a positive thing. Cenk needs to just calm down. The change works in his favor too.

There already was a provision in the bill preventing federal funds from going to illegal immigrants. From what I understand, the provision they're adding now will prevent illegals from being able to buy insurance; as in, use their own money, with no effect on us at all. I don't see why that's necessary, and I bet it still won't stop the Republicans from spouting off bullshit.

Obama and the democrats just have to stop paying attention to the republicans who are stupid enough to go out of their way and embarrass themselves much like Wilson did and stop giving oil to the squeeky wheel.
They just gotta ignore them and do whatever they feel well benefit the most people.
