I was one of the RC performers in this show, and spent quite a bit of time talking with Dave. He was a true gentleman and an exceptional pilot. He was one of the many great airshow performers that were tragically lost too soon.
Dave Hoover took me in my first loop at the Ohio University airport in the 1960's. He was great fun, always making up songs that he sang while playing the banjo. Great guy
I worked for Dave Hoover as a teenager and traveled all over the U.S. and Canada with the Coors Light Silver Bullet Jet Team and later after the Coors Light team dissolved. He was my mentor and I credit him with all the success that I've had in my career. I've never seen this footage before. Thanks for sharing!
