  • dose this department not have light changer things? seems like ya hit all the lights on red.

  • @bibblles

The township doesn't have an Opticom system on any of the lights, so even if we had emitters, they'd be worthless...

  • ''were guna find that guy plastered sumwhere'' HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • diggin the powercall

  • ewww powercall lol

  • @Rofocowboy84 It's okay.

  • nice use for the air horn and the sirens

  • I was surprised at how to avoid a general car. My countrys road is so small that they could not avoid.

  • stupid fans are in the way

  • @Jimbobthebarbarian

That's what happens when you're in the back....

  • @Rofocowboy84 That road look's like Ritchie HWY In Glen Burnie, Maryland.

  • @PNSB101

Well I can assure you it's not, sorry.

  • @Rofocowboy84 Is this I Maryland? On Ritchie HWY?

  • @PNSB101

Nope, Exeter Township PA, on 422.

  • Good use of the Q, no need to keep it hammered 24/7 to make it sound like a vacuum

  • nice air horn

  • Comment removed

  • @eureka800

    No....why?

  • I love the sound of the turbo, on the engine-SWEET

  • fuckin' cool but use the Q CAUSE IT HAZ MOAH POWAH!

  • @granturismoman170

We used the Q when it needed to be used....

  • what is 2:35

  • Nice dash

  • dude listen to ex's and oh's by atreyu and whatch this at the same time response is longer then the song but its asume lol

  • To much electronic siren, and air horn. Not enough Federal Q! Sorry I can hear a Q siren a half mile away! The air horn and electronic P.O.S. 300 feet away. Hmm what am I going to hear first!? Full speed with the Q siren!

  • @K1JWM

The Q was spinning when it needed to be......and the reason the PowerCall was on the whole time is because state law dictates that when your lights are on and you're moving, a siren must be one. Also, usually it's the horns I can hear first, but who knows...

  • @Rofocowboy84 Ok on that. What state?

  • @K1JWM

    Pennsylvania

  • turbo sounds nice

  • My dept runs a 2003 Quint Hp100, a 1980 something Mack Saulsbury heavy rescue a, 1980 something Mac Engine, a Ford 350 utility and a Ford 350 Brush and our MAch Rescue and Quint usually roll with the powercall Warble and Q, best combo possible in my opinion

  • That Q Siren sounds like Engine 7 In my town.

  • Probably because all Q's sound pretty much the same....

  • they do......

  • Comment removed

  • all of this stuff and then a little tiny clear spot to look ot of on the dash!! fun

  • This is the view from the back, from the driver's seat there's no obstructions...

  • @Rofocowboy84: some people are just idiots Rofo lol

  • Those damn fans ruined this video, could barely see what was going on. Great response by the way.

  • we hae that type of siren on engine for at my dept

  • i really like that loud horn...are u useing a federal Q siren

  • 2:35 "were gonna find that guy plastered somewhere" hahaha

  • what kind of truck make is this? pierce seagrave, sutphen? it looks nice on the inside but goes like a bastard.

    in a good way :)

    regards, MCFRS

  • Saulsbury actually. We're a bit of a mutt house. When I started we had 3 Macks, and then this Saulsbury, along with the other smaller apparaus. NOW we have 1 Saulsbury, 1 Seagrave, and 2 Pierces.

And you're right, it does haul, just check out some of the other vids I have of it on here.

  • My department runs a 2 MC Model macks, an R Model Mack, Ford F350, F450 and 72' American Lafrance

  • 1:31 thanks for pulling to the right asshole

  • I am sorry, my English is not how good

  • In your country, Emergency vehicles will be courteous, is good, In my country, Encounter emergency vehicles, Feel very angry, your country fo fire cars is very advanced,I wish you good luck ^^

  • hi, thanks your movies ★★★★★

  • Quite possibly the best Q work ive ever heard

  • I want to say i,m very proud of you kids for doing what you do, Thanks for holding it down in the U.S. of A. while we hold it down in "THE SAND BOX" aka Iraq, HOOOOOOOOOOAH, You are all HEROs!

  • Hey, there wouldn't even be a US of A without you guys, so thank you! Where are you at in the sandbox? I was in BIAP as a private contractor firefighter, there's a few vids on here of that.

  • great power call

  • awesome video

  • i think they used the horn at intersections......ik when i drive i want every eye on me even if there not in my way.....that way theres almost no chance of an "accident" occuring.....personal preference of the drivers

  • What is that siren in background with the federal?

  • Powercall. It's actually a new siren by Able 2/Sho-Me that replicates the old GE Powercall Warble sound.

  • very affective siren also! great attention grabber. just wish we would get them in my department

  • good driving

powercal is not as good as wail and not needed with a q.

why blast horn at car already in other lane and not in your way?

  • i think whelen is bringing warble back

  • oh okay

  • Comment removed

  • So where was the emergency, and thats a heck of a long ride.

  • 4 minutes?! That's not a long ride by any means. And the crash was at the intersection....

  • yeah, ur right. Idk, it just seemed longer in the vid.

  • a 4 minute response time is nothing i have been on a box alarm response that was around 30 minutes with audible and visual warning devises activated

  • I never said 4 minutes was a long response. I've been on long ones too, going into other counties.

  • someone else had made a comment about 4 minutes being a long time and hell 30 minutes was being stoped for a few minutes by a train and liek 4 towns away gotta love farm country

  • Yes i am also a firefighter shit 4 mins aint shit rush hour here sucks so when we get a call its gonna take us at least 10 min and yet thats still nuthing to long its just you got the assholes who wanna sit in the lanes and not move bc they have no fucking i dea wat to do haha keep it up bro later

  • thats when you let the q scream, and lean on the horns :p

  • yeah thats when they shit them selfs and freeze up see the lights move to the right thats the way i say it people just sit there with lights and siren rolling and dont do shit its disrespectful and uncool

  • i would love to be a firefighter when i am older enough. which should be in about 2 yaers, but i think they are making a law, where if you dont pull over for emergancy vechicals like your supposed to, you could get fined and possibly jailed. personally i think this should have been a law years ago. how would you like it if you delayed the firefighters and they were going to your house. i live in ct, and i also think voulenteer firefighters shouldnt have to wait at red lights and stop signs.

  • however they should proceed with catuion, and obey the speed limit.

  • yea well im in north carolina and volunteers down here dont have to wait at red lights and stop sign we can have as many red lights but no siren and it should be a law people are just dumb like that firefighting is a good job hang out at the station get to know the guys up there it will help you sooo much and youll make it into the academy a lot easier with them behind your back

  • As long as he's allowed there. A lot of companies don't like kids hanging around, either for liability reasons or whatever. It also makes you look like a whacker. Just wait until you're old enough and then go.

  • thats the biggest load of shit i heard explorers and junior firefighters are your a volly buddy you dont know shit bout union we love kids up there it gives them a taste and learn

  • hell yea..im a junior fireman and i do everything a regular firemen does besides make entry or put a pack on...cause they need us during the day...when most the firemen are at work

  • yea keep on gettin it im surprised you guys are not allowed to do overhaul ? with packs on either? oh well kid good luck

  • well we do overhaul...but not much...we are allowed to help auto extrication...and do exterior attacks and run the pumps

  • ya thats why i want to join. ive known every one at that station, since i was 6 years old, so ive known them for 10 years. just so happens one of my best buddies is a training officer, so i might score a few brownie points ;)

  • ive actually been through the academy already im a nationaly liescensed EMT-B im starting paramedic in august and im also on a technical rescue team and ive been on for over 2 years and ive been on close to 10 fire this year alone including a fatal that was a family member and a mother to alot of our dept her husband had 47 years on the dept

  • yea ive been throguh the academy too its very fun and challenging we are required to train once a week we have also had several working fires but no fatal ones yet and i hope we have none im on the usar team urban search and rescue that was i thought the hardest training i have had

  • I,m sorry for your lost, before the military I was a volunteer for 9 years including 2 years heavy rescue, 1 ofmy first calls was for a family friend who got hit and pined by a stolen car, he died, that was 10/31/1995, thanks for what you do, i,m here in Iraq serving a tour, May God bless you and your team and familys, and May your family member REST-IN-PEACE, She,s very proud of you, and so am I!

  • thank you very much and stay safe over there in the sand box

  • Goddamn! I would wish work there!

  • tell the driver good driving

    =)

  • Nice driving

  • Well, I would say thanks, but it wasn't me driving, it was our one Lt.

  • Lol "We're gonna find that guy plastered somewhere."

    So true. People are retarded.

  • Give it a rest, and if ya don't like it, STOP WATCHING THEM, YA FUCKING CUNT!

  • If Necrophilia's your thing, then have it the bitch, otherwise, SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • And you're still a retarded cocksucker.

  • if you have seen anyhting that rofo has said, he has mentioned that all the apparatus they have are bought used from other departments and they just leave the equipment as bought. So it wasn't their choice to have the powercall it came as is

  • Lol, thanks for the defense, but you're only partially correct. That was true with our old Rescue, Tower, and the truck that's serving as our rescue now. However, the Engine, Engine 2, and the new Tower were bought new. And we put the powercalls on the trucks, none of them came with it.

  • what the hell.. you made a youtube name stating that a type of siren you do not like sucks, all .. about a siren.. you sir are a fucking failure

  • yea i tried telling him that too, this is all he does on all vids, he is probably a fucking 12 yr old who knows now better and needs to get laid big time

  • Hmm, surprised user 'powercallsuck29' hasn't seen this one yet!

  • LOL, don't speak so soon...He has now! LOL

  • @nmcarpenter: Hey man give him a break you know all those accounts are run by the same guy he cant be everywhere at one time lmao!!!

  • lmfao rofocowboy lol

  • dude? wares the accedent?

  • Okay....."where's" and "accident"....I know English class was boring in school, but paying attention really helps what people think of you....

And the accident was on the other side of that intersection.

  • lmao that electric siren is a POWERCALL, and it sounds amazing

  • Yup, when we first got them, I hated the sound, but now I love it.

  • Ummm that Powercall sounds like an alarm , i like the Yelp + Q .

  • Powercall is actually pretty much like a slower yelp....

  • interesting siren but neat!

  • who manufactured your apparatus?

  • Thats Reiffton Engine 2, a 1997 Spartan/Saulsbury Engine

  • good vid

  • Um....no.....

  • its ok I hate it too

it sounds like a home security alarm going off

  • You guys must have pretty fucked up security alarms in your area then....

  • dang straight! I love the sound of the Power Call! It would be nice to have the Q2B with it though. Plus some nice Grover horns. But overall, nice video and truck. Good luck in your future, I hope to be joining fireman as a whole in the company one day!

  • The video has all three though, Powercall, Q, and Grovers....

  • haha, I figured it out after i posted the comment. sorry man. btw, very nice Tower you guys have!

  • personaly..i like the sound of the turbo more then the sirens!

  • Outstanding from a Fire Buff!!!

  • How do you operate your air horn?

  • Foot pedals, just like the ones used to operate the Q on most trucks.

  • you operate the q by a foot pedal... nice vids... a german fire fighter...

  • Do you personally think the powercall moves traffic better then a regular siren whail/yelp/phaser?

I'm not really sure which is better :S

  • Personally, I do think it does. One of the main things for the Powercall is that it doesn't sound like any sirens that people are used to. With normal sirens, people hear them so much that they tend to subconsciously block them out (selective hearing). The Powercall is something they've never heard before, so natural curiosity makes them look around to see what it is, and then they see the truck. When we first got them, I hated the sound, but now I hate running code without one, lol!

  • Yeah. I can see why it would clear traffic better, now that you mention the selective hearing.

  • Ooh, new a word of the day! First it was tool, now it's penis pump. I can't wait to see what the next one is!

  • Great video! By the way.... was that a cadet that thought he knew the only way of responding to a call? I thought you guys were making some GREAT noise.

  • i am a fire fighter by the way and have just never changed my screenname and i was inquireing about the use of the powercall or electronic siren in conjuntion with the q siren im from the chicago area and around here departments typically only have one type of siren weither it be an electronic siren or a q siren and most depts might go with federal because there plant is in the next town over from me but thank you all for the east coast incite in to things

  • When you GROW up and become one who can even RIDE in an emergency vehicle, let alone drive, then you can talk. Until then try not to soil your diapers too much when you watch videos on here.

  • wow. you sure are doing your department proud right now.

Some like the powercall (because it works) some don't(because they're old school).

One's not better then the other, just different.

  • Except Powercalls are old school...at least in this area (MD/VA/PA area).

  • What are you, an idiot? A backup alarm sounds like a beeper... on off on off on off.... this doesn't sound anything LIKE a backup alarm. I feel bad for idiots like you who don't understand "the more noise, the better." Go back to the ladies auxiliary, jerkoff!

  • damn you told him off, i hate fuckers like him that start shit, let it go honestly every vid ive seen on here involving powercall this faggot has said the same damn thing

  • ok some one please explain to me the point of having multiple sirens going at once to me that is like the dumbest thing ever my dept personally and all the depts in my area all just uses one siren typically a q for out larger rigs like engines and trucks and what not it just seams like to sirens would be distracting and confuse drivers to there being multiple emergency vehicals and when there is it would confuse them even more and cause more accidents

  • Wow, I guess you slept through English while you were in school....either way, we use multiple sirens because in our opinion, it works better. I really don't see the problem with cars thinking there are two emergency vehicles coming, it might actually make them pay attention more. No matter what, people are going to be stupid, but if you have multiple things making noise, it's easier to discern from other noises people hear (a Q may sound like the song on their radio, while the powercall won't.

  • ok i can see where your coming from with that but thats why you have an air horn your not going to mistake a song on the radio for an air horn but every department is different and has different sops/sogs

  • having 2 auidibles plus airhornes in most md places is mandatory plus it makes sence.youre not alws on the q and even when you are and have to lay off to do something you already have another siren on.plus people hear lots of shit goin on there more likely to pay attention

  • It also helps break a pattern allowing the human mind to determine the direction the sound is coming from.

  • How about learning to read and write before you critique another department?

  • Exeter Township, PA?

  • Yup, the one in Berks County though, there's another Exeter in another county, I'm thinking Luzerne or something like that...

  • Okay, yeah I live in Luzerne county and that's the other exeter twp. I was curious because this didn't look like the one I'm familiar with. thanks.

  • Lol, yeah, I figured that's what you meant. I once had to get my car towed, and had tons of fun trying to explain to AAA that the Exeter I was in was located in Berks county, not Luzerne, lol....

  • q and horn and powercall are the best sounding

2nd best is q and horn

  • why didn't oncoming traffic pull over at the first / half minute of the video? it is a law in canada oncoming traffic must pull to the right if there is not center median.

  • Yeah, it's a law here too, but people usually don't abide by it. We're usually lucky if we can get the people in front of us to get out of our way.

  • Amen

  • Ok. I will try to get some vids on here for you to see. Medic 9 averages the most runs, with Engine 2 (1st truck out on 10-50s) being #2...just which one I am able to catch first.

  • Ahhh...The sweet sound of a Powercall and Q together...dont get much better. How many of your rigs have the powercall and Q? Our town's department has Pcalls and Qs on Engine 2, 3, Squad 8, and Quint 1. Electronics on Engine 5, Brush 4, and Medic 9.

  • Let's see, Engine, Tower, the old Rescue did, until it got hit and the one that we got to replace it doesn't yet, and the Chief's vehicle. Both Engines, Tower, and Rescue have Q's (one on new rescue just got hooked up). Brush has a PA300, along with E 2-2, Rescue has a Code 3, as do Chief's and Deputy Chief's vehicles and the Squad.

  • KICKASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Goddamn! I would wish work there!

  • Great i love the Q siren and the Powercall togehter really tels people to get the fuck out of the way ! ;D

  • We have a few powercalls too. Check out my videos.

  • cancelled at the end?

  • No, they were just close to the accident (just past that intersection).

  • Power call dealers and salesmen are LOL all the way to the bank selling that crap to the fire service...All they have to say is this is a better mouse trap and these young guys will buy it..

  • You know what? I like their siren, and they're not all that expensive. If you don't like them, fine, but keep your bullshit to yourself.

  • i really like the sound of your air horn! Its a kinda raw sound ;D

  • Yeah, I can't figure out what kind they are, but I love their sound. For some reason I'm thinking Grover Stuttertones, but I could be wrong...

  • ROFOCOWBOT84, Powercalls come with airhorns on them. There is no way that's the Powercall airhorn, but I'm just saying lol

  • Actually not this one, the model we have on our trucks are just the Whoop/Warble ones, not the "full featured" ones. And I know it's not an electronic airhorn, it's definitely regular ones.

  • That's the ones I always liked. The ones with the Powercall and Powercall Plus, not the ones with all the other bullshit (Yelp, Wail, Intersection)..If I had wanted those I would have gotten a PA300 lol. But the ones with Intersection are good for smaller apparatus such as Chief's Car, Mini-pumper, etc.

  • This truck, our primary Engine, has a Powercall and a PA300, check one of my original vids to hear everything going at once, lol...

And as far as smaller vehicles, our cheifs' trucks have Code 3 V-Cons (with the lighting controls), and one of the buttons turns on the powercall, lol. I have a vid of our Chief going by too, check it out.

  • ROFOCOWBOY84....Ok thanx. I'll do that. Oh and by the way, I checked out the web page....nice. Like all of the apparatus.

  • Yeah, I like them. The pictures don't do them justice though, especially the ones that are kinda squished, lol. I miss the old rescue though. It was about to get replaced, but it could have waited until we got the new one for that lady to hit it...
