Just got the latest (Vol.11 in the trade paperback version) and its fuckin amazing. The walking dead is just top class all round for art,and story. cant wait for the next one

Sweet! I plan on picking up these comics! So the covers are color, but the comics them self are black and white, right?

that is correct, but after a little while, you hardly notice the lack of color. the first few issues are your standard zombie fare, but the writing is fantastic after that...following a group of survivors into the months and months after the epidemic....a must for any zombie fan.

I heard that it is hard to tell who is who, is this true? I heard that the characters aren't drawn the same, and the only way to recognize them is by a scar or wound. Is that true?

i don't know about that...though there ARE many different characters, and keeping them straight is a bit difficult, but as far as i can tell, it is the same artists throughout, and besides the usual discrepancies in appearances in comic-book form, they look the same from episode to episode. i've re-read it again, and found things i had missed..it definitely requires vigilant attention...but yeah, there ARE a ton of secondary characters.
