Clearly you missed the point. As demonstrated in the video, you can change tunings IN THE MIDDLE OF A SONG.

Not that I can think of a song where you would need to do such a thing. But you could write one. ;)

I believe we are all getting to the point on the guitar where there isnt to much new you can do. This could be a new genre of music. The innovators have pretty much took all the new sounds.
