I have a questions about Skanda deva, I do not know much about him but so if anyone could answer my question I would be really happy. If Muruga is the son of Shiva then why is he a hunter of serpents when they are so dear to Shiva?

@omsatya Who told u that he is a hunter of serpents...?You have understood it wrongly.He himself is worshipped as Serpent in many places..He is also called Naga Subramaniam..

Gods and even demons worship Shiva. Muruga is a god of action. He hunts. Meditation and other actions are divine when done out of devotion to God. Muruga and Shiva are both Gods and aspects of the one Divine Principle: Brahman. In life, this may seem contradictory. However, in God, there is no contradiction. All is One.
