Cool use of layers. A good next step would definitely be to check out some of the keyframe options, Ease in/out and the velocity settings can help mix things up. I dug the wavy seaweed looking stuff, was that an effected vector?
You know..i come from Photoshop...i just imported 20-30 ps works everyone on different layer and played with effects..i need mooooooore practice ..but got not time :°°
anyway i did that after watching the 'credits' part of 300, at the end of the film :D

you should select the animation keyframes for the camera and makes them "easy ease" so they look more natural and non-robotic
