  • I was a teenager when this movie COME SEPTEMBER with Rock Hudson, Gina Lollobrigida, Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin was shows at the Colon in Santiago, R.D. mi hometown. This song was a success along with the movie. Sandra and Bobby were such a lovely couple and then they had a cute child, Dodd. All of us girls were crazy about Rock Hudson--we know how to spell the name-- since he looked so macho. Who would have thought that he was gay. I really regretted a lot that Sandra and Bobby divorced.

  • :) and by now we all know that Rock really liked the gents - so watching him looking at Darin on this video :) it's like we are privy to an inside story

  • Each generation plays the same - true LOL

Rock Hudson - hubba hubba :)))

  • GREAT TO SEE ' ROCK HUDSON ' & ' GINA LOLLOBRIGIDA'...

    THANKS..

    ERIK TIELMAN, FLORIDADADAA

  • Me acuerdo del finado Manuel Lillo A. (condorito).

  • Come September is one of my favorite movies. It stars Rock Hudson, Bobby Darin, and the lovely ladies Gina Lollobrigida and Sandra Dee. I always loved the way Rock Hudson was glaring at Bobby Darin in this shot. At some points it looks like Bobby Darin is trying not to laugh. They stayed in character so well, but it makes me wonder if they didn't have to keep reshooting this scene because someone started to laugh during the take. This is an equally wonderful song and performance by Bobby Darin.

  • @JamieSSulivan thats because Rock Hudson wanted to buttphuck little Bobby Darin.

  • @JamieSSulivan Well, there is no evidence that they were both on the set at the same time for this scene, there is a vital cut at the end of the roving pan from Hudson and Ms Lollobrigida across to the stage, which would tend to suggest that they were shot separately.

  • Multiplication

  • I love that movie and bobby was a great actor

  • Come September. Starring Bobby Darin, Rock Hudson, Gina Lollobrigida and Sandra Dee. Love that movie.

  • GRAMMY ALERT! Bobby finally gets the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award Jan 30, 2010!

  • Comment removed

  • @jaumevx the movie is called "come september"

  • the sound doesn't work for me on this

  • i love this song :)

    <3

  • Bobby was born May 14, 1936; he would have been 73 years old today if he had lived.

    Happy Birthday Bobby

  • Pikeyfication...that's the name of the game...

  • WOW - this is a really different arrangement to the single - different chords, different beat.

    What an entertainer.

  • nice nice very nice!

  • I get a kick of out the way Rock Hudson is looking at Bobby Darin in this scene like "You scoundrel, I know what you're up to!".

However as we all know now, in real life Rock couldn't have cared less about who nailed all the women - just as long as they left all the men to him.

  • Neil- LOL!!

  • love the song, love the movie, love the scenery, not to mention Gina Lollobrigida!

    hehehehehe!

  • The mans a legend and will never see his like again, thank god we have his music.

  • love ya bobby! only movie you starred in!

  • eye use to play this overover again long time in eye 1969 or 70

  • free kashmir

  • I have the original 45rpm record in my collection. It sounds different from this later version. I wonder what this record is worth to a collector?

  • I have that 45 too. It's signed and it means more to me then any dollar ammount.

  • this is great song real cool fab dude

  • i love this clip. he was cute and talented in so many ways- it's so awful he had to die so soon. his story's so triumphant and tragic since he decided to make the best out of the time he had

  • Another underated legend. Bobby could turn his hand to any style of music. Folk, Rock & Roll but most importantly SWING BABY!

  • very good!thanks..

  • Darin is so good in Hell is for heroes.Love his jokes

  • There's definitely something repressed going on in those intense darin/hudson looks.

  • Lol, yeah, Rock wants him! Ha....anyway, I love this movie. I've got such a crush on Bobby....*sigh*....whatta great song! ;)

  • Ugh! Rock Hudson is looking at Bobby Darin like he is real hungry.........for him.

  • haha he probably did!

Now you have to wonder what ailment actully caused Bobby to croak.

  • Rheumatic Fever Dude

  • Oh you're a doctor now? Shaddup asshole it wasn't rheumatic fever that killed him it was the fact that he stop treating his diseased heart that was caused by the bouts of rheumatic fever he had as a child. Bobby quit taking his anticoagulant drug and then neglected to take the antibiotics before dental treatment. Bacteria in the bloodstream clotted his mechanical heart valve.

  • wow. what the hell is your problem dude? seriously. i meant that it all started with rheumatic fever man.

  • Please don't question Trumpetnmaster5504- as he probably knows 4 times as much as you about Bobby Darin.

  • How cute, This was their first movie together. They also did "If a man Answers" and "Funny Feeling" later. Sandra Dee was an underrated actress, she was very good in "Imitation of Life" and "A Summer Pace".

  • I absolutely LOVED this. Darin was amazing, as both a singer and an actor. I wish he could have done more in film like he wanted to...

  • and the chemistry between sandra and bobby is clearly evident here..no wonder they married(in real life)as soon as film was wrapped.

  • i love this movie as i love this song and it's singer too..the legendary bobby darin!..Gina Lollobrigida is soooo sexy in this movie!
