Hey i was wondering if you could help me with a problem my dads glock 17 isnt working well in semi auto most of the time we have to cock it again to shoot it and some times we can shoot it twice before cocking it again... any ideas?
i have a glock 17 gen 1 with an extended controls and all the new gen upgrades for it and for some reason when my father shoots the pistol the slide will not lock back. I watch him close when he is shooting it his hands are clear from the slide release and his grip is fine soo..... the only difference is he pulls the trigger slowly and i have a more crisp break when i squeeze. Can someone help me it should not matter what speed the trigger is pulled also lighter trigger installed.
@WeWantGoodCovers You don't. At least not compared to typical pistols. You have to first release the mag, then pull the slide back to discharge the set round. Then your glock will be empty and safe.
I believe there are import restrictions on them now, and they are no longer made, but yeah they are not illegal, and I wish they cost 400$. Sort of a neat shot gun?
i really like the point of view videos. it gives m a chance to see what it is like to look down th barrel of guns that I will likley never own. Thank you
just wondering, i thought you were supposed to place your front post just below the center, so the target sits on top of the front post? i noticed you place your front post in the middle of the target? great video btw...
I thought the same thing but my groups were always low. Then I was told by an FBI agent on the range that the Glock sights are setup as a point and shoot. He said this means the you cover your target with the dot on the front sight. When I started doing that then my groups were just were I wanted them.
Interesting.... so i guess it really depends on the gun. I have shot a Para- Ordnance 1911 right out of the box my groups were low until i tried the method you mention. Where as when i was shooting a .44 Magnum i used the front post below the target method. Thanks for the info..
I got the Glock 17 i use for target practice. I've gotten pretty good at about 50 yards close to bullseye and now next time i;m going for 75 yards and continue until i reach my or the gun limit.
Lol i use that same target for 22. Comp

Hey, what type of sight illumination does the Glock 17 have?
SmartStudios 1 year ago
@SmartStudios
none, that is a standard glock painted on sight ..
GunWebsites 1 year ago
@GunWebsites Okay, Thanks. It looks like Tritium, but i couldn't be sure.
SmartStudios 1 year ago
@SmartStudios But you can get tritium night sights. They'll glow in the dark. The fiber optic sights are pretty bright when it is light out too.

@luvmyartist you could be putting in too many bullets in the mag, that happened to my maurezen. Try takeing out 1 or 2 bullets

Would this make your ears ring?
I shot an old western-looking gun, once. It has a long barrel, and I think it was like a revolver. It was pretty loud.
SelfTimedBomb 2 years ago
yes, shooting a modern pistol without hearing protection is really uncomfortable
and rifles can really hurt

You mean like the dot on the "i" (except they touch)
I have seen that taught too, but it has never worked for me..
of course sometimes it is the firearm that decides what way we should shoot it ..
but if / when I make the decision, I shoot like I do in the video

How do you like your "jet funnel" can you really insert the magazines faster?
Is it robust/solid so would you recommend it for a self defense gun?
Awesome video! *****
weretaler 2 years ago
no that mag well thing is lame, I leave it on there since that Glock is now famous.. well really I'm just too lazy to remove it
I would NEVER add that extended well thing to a defense firearm
It us weak, flimsy and dangerous..
It makes it difficult to insert a mag, near impossible to test if the mag is inserted correctly, and seems like it is going to break off all the time
