saw then in Mobile AL in the 70s. the power went out during this song. they never missed a beat, just picked the acoustics and walked to the front of the stage and sang a little louder for the back rows to hear them too. GREAT musicains and singers.
Ahhh... the 70's! I was in a cover band in college, and we had very tight vocals, but this was one of the few songs we just couldn't master to the point of feeling confident enough to include it in our thrice-weekly gigs. I so appreciate the live performance!! Bravo!
Yes, we did "Keep on Tryin'" on a regular basis. Our voices were right for that range. Then I graduated from college and got married. When "Crazy Love" came out, all I could do was sing along with the LP, missing my bandmates. Sigh... those were great times. Still love Poco.
The boys (largely minus hair) still tour. My daughter is 23, and I took her to a Poco/Loggins and Messina concert this August. She's heard Poco since she was old enough to walk, and when I told her where we were going, she said "The REAL Poco?" Yup! It was great, and of course Messina "sat in" with the boys on "You'd Better Think Twice". Seeing them, even now--maybe especially now, gives you a welcoming, good feeling to know. ya know?
Absolutely! Lucky daughter yours is! That must've been one fantastic event! Gosh, I sure loved Loggins & Messina! We did "Return to Pooh Corner" and "I Want to Sing You a Love Song". Also, some Dan Fogelberg, early Eagles, Seals & Crofts, even a couple of Beatles' pieces. Funny, the term "cover band" didn't even exist back then. We had to try to get the lyrics, harmonies & chords off our vinyl LP's by playing them over and over. Now all that is at one's fingertips -- quite literally.
Wow, they're great!

The melodica solo is so much better here than in the original. As is should be 30 years after the fact. Nice up.

I've always found that there's something special about bands that include siblings. Family is forever.

they switched the high 3 harmony to a low three at the beginning! i bet they could still do the high 3. but they go into it later. still kick ASS!
