Are doctors supposed to shout that loud at their students every minute? Or its only in Korea cause I did'nt see such a thing in American or European medical serials.

It's her legal duty to explain everything to the patient, regardless of what the patient says. As long as she's completed her duty, then the patient has the right to refuse and leave.
I don't understand how she could be so stupid. Doesn't she prep before she sees her patients? I spend hours and hours preparing and researching for my patients' diagnosis and the medications they take... this doctor horrible assessment skills too. Ack! I hope she gets better or I'm going to go crazy..
That was why Dr Ahng told her in the first episode not to be a doctor if she wasnt starving. Cause she insisted on her way when she is just a noob who knws nth.
I don't think it's a matter of being noob or not..everyone starts out knowing nothing, but she doesn't seem to have the right drive to be a doctor. She can't answer questions on the spot and she takes too long to think and put pieces together....I actually like Dr. Ahn's principles, except he needs better communication skills..There's a doctor like that I work with at my hospital and he's exactly like Dr.Ahn :P
Wow? exactly like him? hmmm...i hope he doesnt insult others as bad as Dr Ahn do...imagine someone trying so hard to be a doctor because that person wants it instead of just monetary, and yet getting reprimanded for indirect deaths of others... You are a doctor yourself right? how would you deal with situations like this..i mean that patient INSISTED on leaving the hospital..what more could u do about it?
I'm not a doctor..yet! I'm in nursing school and doing some pre-med, so I'm hopeful. In the case of that patient,Bong should have explained the seriousness of her suspsions, and that it's an emergency, and the consequences of not treating it as an emergency. The patient is obviously in a hurry so he doesn't care, and Bong shouldn't have backed down so easily. It's her duty as the doctor to make sure her patient understands his condition.
As she mentioned that the endoscopy result show no suspicious of Myocardial Infarction just recently plus he finished a marathon. The percentage of getting it was less than 5%. How do you expect Bong to be so confident to ask him do an additional check when her patient is in such low risk of Myocardial Infarction? If all doctors has to do checks that we are in low risk of, then every time we go to the hospital would probably kill us because of all the other unnecessary checks.
I agree with you that unneccessary intervention may do more harm than the disease itself. However, if she suspected MI, regardless of the percentage, it's still a very fatal disease that could take just a few seconds to kill a person...she should have made sure her patient knew how serious the condition was before giving up. The patient has the right to be educated, as well as the right to refuse treatment. All this has to be documented to avoid legal issues!
Bong tried so hard asking him to do a check or more and he rejected her. She mentioned about heart which the patient scold her for suspecting him with heart disease...with his ego saying that he completed a marathon and with endoscopy checks done...he was sure that he was alright and acted like a barbarian in the hospital..if he doesn't care about his own health...why should even Bong bother to help to explain about her suspicious when the patient don't believe her and will scold her in the end?
i like this drama more and more especially when i hear it's OST sang by SS501. but the drama is also getting more intense...
