i actually thought it was good, and a step in the right direction. At least we're not watching some old hags put on a rock show. And don't get me wrong, i love rock n' roll (zep,pearl,rush), but they just aren't good. For this, sure, the singing could be better, but they put on a show! From the field dancers with their specials light up suits, to the special guest appearances, to the funky block-head dancing, i was very entertained. I thought it wasn't half bad :0

Now I'm not a BEP hater, nor am I a gleek, but can I just say that the Michael Jackson's "Thriller" combined with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll" mix was a much better half-time show (on their episode tonight) and I was much more impressed by their show. And this was the first time I watched glee.
Here's an idea: Have the cast of glee do the half-time show next year. It would be written, produced, practiced and all together a far better production for a change.
It is hard to her yourself in a loud stadium, so if Fergie seems like she is struggling, it is beyond her control not her fault. It's not in a small room. This is what live music, in front of a roudy audience really is. It is hard to cut through people yelling in the audience. If the microphones are turned up more they will get feedback. I am an expert on this topic and have done sound and performance big and small 4 many years. The performers did great !
@SaxManDanDotCom There's a difference between singing bad notes and bad singing. The fact is that Fergie wasn't singing well, even if she was singing the wrong notes. It was just plain bad. And the rest of the Peas don't sing, they just yell and then it's autotuned. If it's as hard as you say it is to sing with the microphones then why can other performers do it? They've sang the same songs in the same keys for years and you KNOW when you're singing the right notes. They should know by now
This show wasn't as bad as some people are making it to be. I believe that the dispute with this show comes from the older generation who is totally against "modern" hip - hop and autotune. I am in by no means a fan of autotone or modernized hip - hop myself, how ever, I wouldn't say that that form of musical expression "sucks" because it doesn't! It's just different and not my cup of tea.
For a Pop performance it was great.. That's what pop music is.... Formulated repetitive mediocre music... So for a pop show it was great.... Big up Black Eye Peas... on the flip side now, If your comparing it to a non Pop performance it sucked..... Black Eyes Peas your wack... So It just depends on what your comparing it to..
This show was hot!!! They must have realized Tom Petty was "petty pathetic" & who cared about the Who so let's get it right this time n go back to hip hop but no one fondle Fergie (you notice Slash's hands never left the guitar). The Black Eyed Peas did an awsome job, it is hard singing in a stadium where you are surrounded by everyone with no wall in back of you, Feedback is a so hard to avoid and to be able to cut through the air the way they did. They all sang & rapped terrific! The performance was extremely hard to duplicate. They got paid millions and deserved it. I would like to see someone try to copy them, cause they can't. Fergie had an amazing strong voice on boom boom pow and sweet child.

Heartless, souless, pointless, lyrically challenged, music performance? Where are the musicians? Sounds like machines playing to me. Bad singing, more like kareoke. No really good harmonies. All flash and no substance. Say what you want people who need to defend them, the Peas are indicative of everything that is fake and wrong with modern music. We don't hate it because it's not old...we hate it because it's bad.

@xraycat30 everyone has there own opinion i dont hate music that is synthesized as long as it sounds good im ok with it im not a huge fan of the black eyed peas but i dont think they did that bad of a job i liked the sweet child of mine part but all in all i wouldnt rip on them for an ok performance live music has its ups and downs you cant just say someones bad off of one performance live and if it is totally fake and synthesized it still can sound really good and thats all that matters

Now I'm not a BEP hater, nor am I a gleek, but can I just say that the Michael Jackson's "Thriller" combined with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll" mix was a much better half-time show (on their episode tonight) and I was much more impressed by their show. And this was the first time I watched glee.
Here's an idea: Have the cast of glee do the half-time show next year. It would be written, produced, practiced and all together a far better production for a change.

It is hard to her yourself in a loud stadium, so if Fergie seems like she is struggling, it is beyond her control not her fault. It's not in a small room. This is what live music, in front of a roudy audience really is. It is hard to cut through people yelling in the audience. If the microphones are turned up more they will get feedback. I am an expert on this topic and have done sound and performance big and small 4 many years. The performers did great !

@SaxManDanDotCom There's a difference between singing bad notes and bad singing. The fact is that Fergie wasn't singing well, even if she was singing the wrong notes. It was just plain bad. And the rest of the Peas don't sing, they just yell and then it's autotuned. If it's as hard as you say it is to sing with the microphones then why can other performers do it? They've sang the same songs in the same keys for years and you KNOW when you're singing the right notes. They should know by now

This show wasn't as bad as some people are making it to be. I believe that the dispute with this show comes from the older generation who is totally against "modern" hip - hop and autotune. I am in by no means a fan of autotone or modernized hip - hop myself, how ever, I wouldn't say that that form of musical expression "sucks" because it doesn't! It's just different and not my cup of tea.

For a Pop performance it was great.. That's what pop music is.... Formulated repetitive mediocre music... So for a pop show it was great.... Big up Black Eye Peas... on the flip side now, If your comparing it to a non Pop performance it sucked..... Black Eyes Peas your wack... So It just depends on what your comparing it to..

This show was hot!!! They must have realized Tom Petty was "petty pathetic" & who cared about the Who so let's get it right this time n go back to hip hop but no one fondle Fergie (you notice Slash's hands never left the guitar). The super bowl is about energy, adrenaline, best of the best, and The Black Eyed Peas BROUGHT IT!!!

The Black Eyed Peas did an awsome job, it is hard singing in a stadium where you are surrounded by everyone with no wall in back of you, Feedback is a so hard to avoid and to be able to cut through the air the way they did. They all sang & rapped terrific! The performance was extremely hard to duplicate. They got paid millions and deserved it. I would like to see someone try to copy them, cause they can't. Fergie had an amazing strong voice on boom boom pow and sweet child.

Check out an video I think it might be a thriller clip. MJ is an influence even today. BUT THE BLACK EYED PEAS DESERVE RESPECT FOR THIER DISCIPLINED TALENTED ART.
