  • I was just looking at this again i thought at the Donadea ruin i saw a figure if you look at the window on the top at your left arrrgghhh , i know its the light but it caught my eye , the old woman left it to Coilte or one of them she had no family isint that odd slainte my friend xxxxxCathy and the gang

  • @Irishtankgod Do you think one of us has a photo of that? I took a photo of the Donadea ruin , it's s big enlarged photo on the wall at the office, my coworkers loved it- I'll have to take a look in the morning.

  • @badbearwatch Hiya i can go look or might have some on the hard drive i thought all the windows were boarded up ??? could be wrong but i will have to check now im curious LOL ha ha ghost caught in Donadea yikes as the last owner was an old woman alone there with no family , will definintely check that out for you J Foxs pub i saw that use the back door not the front no use the back sigh typical think its the highest Pub in Ireland :P or something LOL xxxxxxCathy

  • @Irishtankgod I thought all the windows were boarded up too and I was so amazed when I saw Donadea castle ruin anyway, I didn't notice the window, I was looking at the whole huge thing. One of the windows must be open though, you said the owl flew at you from in there somewhere, unless it was on the roof there and took off at you. I have the camera DVD still I didn't erase it (the raws) I will have to play this on my TV blown up large and take a look now huh.

  • @Irishtankgod The roof is gone on the ruin, Cathy, and the upper windows are not boarded up, in the big picture I have you can see through to the sky and the vines hanging down inside the ruin. That window we wondered about, the vines are hanging in there in the open window, lord knows what our brains make of the images of the vines shape.

  • @Irishtankgod In the middle window, top left ? I don't know what that is, the lens had water spots on it I found later but the light was behind that ruin, not in front of it. I remember walking in the shadow of the building , am I wrong there ? It looks strange though, you're right. I'll check the photo tomorrow ( the big one).

  • @tukspeacepipes Miss Chief had a long holiday at a cat spa- there was even a webcam, I could see her when I was away across the sea- amazing, the things they can do nowadays :-) She actually fought me a bit when we left, she was plump from treats and attention every day and spoiled beyond words, but she is happy now ...

  • @tukspeacepipes The tombstones are centuries old- that's Glendalough there and Donadea forest. I had a fantastic time visiting, amazing landscapes and wonderful friends there. Can't wait to visit again, so many things more to see there, as well as seeing my friends again :-)

  • Majestic!

  • @Laoch111 Thank you very much, it was the least I could do- your country is a fantastic place, and I have made wonderful friends there !

  • Brilliant footage, looks like a beautiful place and experience : )

  • @BRACK3N Hi there, yes you know I had a wonderful time- I've never been to Ireland before, but I am so glad I went . I want to return there to see more- and see my friends again :-) . It was amazing to me. I loved going to Germany too- I was there once on a tour of the EU, 20+ years ago- it was a bus tour and we were only there a few days, but I wanted to go back there again too, sooner than I did.

  • Ive never been either, was born In Germany too - would love to visit them both one day - glad you had a great time : )

  • That's totally lovely... Travels are great fun and a chance to learn new things. It looks like you had a great trip!

  • @phekwig I did learn a lot, and it's always great to have friends in the country that you visit :-) I hope that I can show my area as nicely as I was shown around Germany and Ireland. My friends smile at this , but my challenge is, I live in Cleveland... my friends here have already said they want to show my friends from "out of town" the best of what we have here, if they happen to come this way.

  • @phekwig I know you enjoy traveling- I need to go check your channel (s) for the latest travel videos, come to think of it.

  • @badbearwatch We're at the SouthTube5 YouTube meetup which happened from September 28 to October 2, 2011 for the time being... I should be posting stuff from our most recent road trip towards the end of the year and into next year :)

  • @fehquig That's cool - I never went to one of those Youtube meetups, although technically now since I met my friends I saw this summer on Youtube, i had a Youtube meetup myself in August :-) . I like your road trips especially since sometimes you go to places I have been or are near, then I want to see that spot again . Have fun !

  • @Irishtankgod No problem, please the audio came from your part of the world to begin with. Thank YOU for letting me use it :-) . Yep , sunshine in Ireland and Germany for a whole two weeks, it was a great journey and I'll never forget seeing all that for the first time.
