  • im sorry to be so negative but no wonder you guys are all broke!!!

this would have to be the stupidest idea ive ever seen!!!!!!

in australia you guys would be told to GO HOME!

  • that guy is punjabi

  • @karmdeepdesijatt you mean idiot?

  • indin songs

  • stupid pakis

  • @harlee69 stupid racists.

  • what is the weight limit load for this type of truck?

  • @Jamielfg 60,100 KG gross

  • Transfer dumps don't have near the tip-over problems that end-dump trailers do, and as compared to dumping pup trailers, the transfer dump only has one hoist, thereby saving some weight and allowing a greater payload. They all have their advantages and disadvantages.

  • How do you drag the truck backwards when you hook up the trailer? Are you superman or did you eat your Weeties this morning?

  • @born2flyau

There is a button on the back of the frame, which connects to the starter. The truck is left in reverse gear. When the driver pushes the button, the truck will back up under the power of the starter motor.

At least that's how it works on the trucks that I know about.

  • @kimchiman1000 how often do they go through starters if thats how the truck gets moved?

  • @pete359ext not often

  • @jimtube84 Realy that seems like it would thanks

  • @pete359ext Yeah I don't have any specific number, my dad's always driven transfer, and he says he never goes through them. On mine I did have to have mine changed not too long ago because to main power terminal broke loose, but otherwise I think it would have been fine still. I don't think they go too often.

  • @jimtube84 allright thanks

  • @JBDNMOS I saw one on eBay, it had 2, 2 axle transfers... That thing would be a bit tricky to back up eh... Not sure which state it was in.

  • @JBDNMOS I hear that, I wasn't trying to argue just to comment :) I checked the max here (with the tridem) is 63,500kg. My dad used to pull a double transfer, the first was a 4 axle, the second was a 5 axle where the middle axle was a drop axle.

  • @JBDNMOS Here in BC a tandem truck (3 axle) and 4 axle trailer is allowed a gvw of 60,100 KG's I believe the max weight is 63, if you have a tridem truck. I haul about 38 metric tons net with the truck and trailer.

  • @ the cameraman, you really seem to like to get into spots where you will get squished by the box... I would not transfer with you near me.

  • @jimtube84

I wasn't nearly as close as it appears from this video. I either hold the camera out at arms length, or else I use a small telescopic arm to extend the camera (available at many camera shops, in case anyone wants to get one) beyond my reach.

But you make a good point - SAFETY FIRST.

  • @kimchiman1000 I hope you weren't you could get squished real good

  • @kimchiman1000 @1:17 you are definitely in a crunch zone, even if it's just your arm.

  • @kimchiman1000 Also at 6:09

  • shouldn't you be operating not filming?

  • @Roninfalls

    No.

  • Did he back it up onto the trailer with a control on the back of the truck? is there a backup camera?

  • @notmycupotea

No you back up by keeping the tractor straight with the frame of the trailer.. if you are off, you run over the trailer tounge and it makes for a big problem. :D No cameras, just mirrors.

  • a twinsteer truck and a 3 axels pup would haul as much without the wasted time of the transfer

  • @4900SA

I've seen a few of those around here lately on our local highway upgrade project, except that instead of the twin steer, they've got three axles on the rear and one on the front, along with the tridem pups.

  • @4900SA and not get in nearly as many places.

  • Straszne marnotrastwo miejsca. Po co taki wielki przegub? Mogło by to wracać na ciężarówce a przyczepka sie skurczyć o kilka metrów. Amerykanie to też nie myślą...

  • why not just get a semi with a dump trailer... this seems like theres a lot of wasted time

  • @TomCRitucci

And end dump would not be able to get into a lot of places that a tandem can get into.

  • Whoa like in the end of the video..i saw a guy on a trailer steering it.

  • how many yard does truck carrying and transfer?

  • @pantherxx010 it's about 38 or 39 K kg's not sure on yardage...

  • @kimchiman1000 What was that thing he was doing with transfering the body from the trailer to his truck?

  • @sk8therbhoy1432

As you said, he was 'transferring' it to the truck. It's just a system to allow one driver to pull two loads, thus saving time, fuel, and money.

  • @kimchiman1000 Thanks I am from the USA and have never seen anything like that

  • 萌え☆

  • the music shold be deleted

  • just stumbled on this clip. have not seen one of those rigs since i left calgary, back in 1882. ran them for 2 years for a calgary co. nothing like this back here on the "rock"( nl.) nice to see this .-----------good job.

  • lol @ the end,,,

  • wow that was inpresive to see him pull that truck back like that.

  • Was this filmed in Vancouver cuz I think I saw 2 Vancouver buses in the first seen of the vid!

  • yes

  • Check this one, if you want to see automatic cassette: watch?v=DcVPRi_69nk

  • @Saunis06

Nice job with that rig! All the driver had to do was hook up the air lines and make sure the hitch was secure. It looks like it even saves a bit of time as well.

    Thanks for sharing it.

  • Esto se hace para los gringos nabos que no saben manejar para atras con un acoplado.

  • What did the old lady say at 3:28 :P

  • These transfers are the coolest trucks I've ever seen. Well, next to the 19 axle heavy haulers. Wish I drove a transfer.

  • you would love the way people in small cars cut you off & contribute to your high blood pressure

  • Ah yes...one of life's little joys!

  • i never seen one before. Its not in Jamaica. He can reverse the truck from outside?

  • The truck is left in the reverse gear. When the driver wants to pull the truck back, he pushes on a button that turns the starter motor, which brings the truck back to where he can connect it with the trailer frame.

  • i dont see the point of that, why not use a pup tralor?

  • Because the transfer holds double of what a pup will hold. Four axles instead of two.

  • Thats a lot of work.

Here in Edmonton, AB we take less than a minute to dump both the truck n trailer.

with same Axles .... we can leagally haul about 38 Tons

  • I drive a transfer here in California. We use a battery and a starter motor to move the box on and off the chassis. Also, our weight limit is only 40 Tons. I can legally haul 25.48 tons in my truck. Very cool video.

  • amazing vid man thanks that driver rocked

  • you don't see a lot of them do you/

  • looks good ! No good where I live in the UK , Most deliveries are made by 4 axle dumpers with 20 ton payload. I drive a 29 ton payload unit and semi trailer dumper I can see the benefits of this system , good video!

  • I dont get it why not use a simple container-truck? much shorter, easy to change the container, fast to change the load and you can get containers in all different sizes, open or closed.

  • lol must be pretty complicated to back those things up with 2 articulation points!

  • What will they think of next? Thanks for sharing.

  • lol pretty sweet but u think u can esnd me to pics of the hitching of the trailer?

  • Looks complicated... Here in Finland those type of trucks are pretty common, and usually that transfer is automatic, you only have to back the truck into trailer. You don't even have to get out of the cab...

  • Sweet!

I hope you can get a video of that. I'd sure like to see one.

    Thanks.

  • I'm not sure, our company has 2007 Scania with automatic transfer, but i'm not yet allowed to drive trucks with trailers. I drive now 1994 Sisu... But i will take a video if i get a chance.

  • what is the name of the trailer that does that???? what country is it made in????

  • dude that is the weirdest transfer set i ever saw

  • Forgot to say, we got a lot of transfers here in the Islands, like using an end dump where you can't get in except with a Tandem.

  • Hey Kimchi, I drove semi end dump on a pier extension at Kawaihae Harbor on the Big Island here in Hawaii, and I put all my material in the water...nothing to scrape off the pier. Seeing his tires hanging like that brought back memories. The Hawaiian Dredging guys asked David Souza "where did you find this guy?!" But I'm known for putting a smei where they say it won't fit. When they ask me how...I just say: "if no fit, use spit!!!"

  • dose that fall out

  • no it doesnt fall out when its in the box it automaticly locks into the box

  • Very nice set up,never seen that before.

I take it has something to do with weight regulations?

  • Possibly, but I think it's more about configuration, and being able to fit the truck into a job site.

Transfers can dump pretty much anywhere a straight tandem can dump, which is something end dumps can't do in most cases.

  • "No too too go down, no guud for the transfer.. Transfer should be lebel.. Yup"

    GREAT video!! Keep'em coming!

  • Instead of going through all that trouble, querrys should just load these trucks with atleast 95000lbs of materials. Though illegal but it works the same and saves half the time.

  • that was great, i have only seen transfers in books and magazines, now i have a great idea of how they work. Thanks

  • I've heard of these but never saw one in action. Thanks fer posting this.

  • pretty innovative design, thanks for up loading this

  • sweet video ive never seen a dump truck with that set up before thanks for shareing. five stars all the way.

  • Made me smile, no made me laugh lol. How did he get the truck to hitch up with the trailer Al? I mean when the truck comes back and he hitches it up.

  • The truck is left in reverse gear, with the brake disengaged. The driver pushes a button on the back of the truck, which turns the starter motor over (typically it is an air powered starter, not electric), and this backs the truck up to the trailer.

  • that was neat, I have never seen anything like this before. Nice vid Al as always!

  • Thanks, DeJuan!

  • nice truck, I haven't seen any in the us yet!

  • ...By the way I never saw that tow hitch system at 7:20/forward before?

Everybody here except from the army use Ringfeder-type couplings.

  • I don't think anyone has that system in Denmark.

OK for gravel and such heavy things, but not cost efficient if hauling light debris like wood, plastic, rockwool or such.

Gotta make sure those "rail roads" are clean before transferring I guess?

  • That is the most ingenis thing I have ever seen! This video rocked!....Except the dancing at the end! HA HA HA J/K

  • LOL

  • Yeah, I'd hate to have to watch that dancing!

    ;-)

  • At 4:40 I thought he was going to snag the power lines.

  • LOL, what the hell did he just say at 4:40 onward? By the way great soundtrack, your classic. this is good shit right here. "You no load transfer if no level! I buy this truck, I no load transfer if no level!" (You seely white maaan, you!) lol

  • Those dump trucks are sweet! I have never seen anything like those before.

  • "oh your making movie???" silly little white man
