Wow... These look amazing... but hey, question! Should I get these or the Colored ones? The colored ones cost almost twice as much money, cause so many people just want them... and they have all the display stuff... But I'm a fan of the comics more so?

@TSHTSMusic i really think both sets are nice. The colored versions do come with a couple other accessories that these black and white ones do not come with...but i just like the lack of color more. They hold true much more to the comic style than anything else

@optibotimus Hey, I revisited this review since mine just came in! I ordered so long ago, but they never came and I got refunds, but I recently ordered them again. They are all perfect and I love them. Thanks for the advice, but just a question, Leonardo is my favorite of the Turtles, but his thigh joint is super loose, so if I try to pose in with his legs outward, he will just fall down. Is there any good way to fix loose figure joints? Thanks a lot :)

mikey's chucks do actually store.... they can be stored on either side of the belt (if you turn the weapon upside down)

Actually the white background makes them blend in very well, like it was a hand drawn poster and you where just pulling them out one by one. And yeah the 80's cartoon turtles were a little too goofy in Turtles Forever. Since it's been so long I checked out some old episodes to make sure and yeah they were made way too goofy, still it was a great movie.

Would you recomend this set over the color versions of the same figures?

@legodude3000 the colored versions seem to come with more accessories. Such as stands and little baby turtles of themselves. I prefer this set because i'm making a "turtles forever" display, and in that movie, they showed them as black and white versions. I like it for that reason..it's really up to you and what your preference is

@optibotimus I hear ya and you're 100% rite but I grew up with the 87 animated series and for some reason I have problems accepting anything that isnt completely identical lol Chalk it up to protection of ones childhood and nostalgia lol I like my turtles a little bit more humanoid I guess lol

@Gabbos i totally agree with you. The turtles for me will forever be the 87 cartoon. It's hard to look at anything that came before them as the real versions. The wonderful thing about the Turtles Forever movie though, is it gives me a way to let all of them exist and enjoy all versions :P

i love the way they look against the white background! at the begining before we could see your hands it looked like a sketch drawing! absolutely brilliant detailing, i think they stand out far more then the other colored turtles, even with a white bg. i do rather think the tails look a little silly... maybe it's just me immaturity, but they sometimes look like they should have a "censored" bar across them :P

I LOVE how this video looks with the turtles and the white background. Looks like an optical illusion. Like a 2D drawing come to life. The 2000 series was a GREAT series. It did jump the shark when they "Fast Foward". The original was great until parents started complaining about violence and then replaced Michealangelo's nunchucks with a grappling hook.

@SweBerra White is better in general. White reflects light while other colors absorb it. When using a HD camera such as mine, you want to maximize light as much as possible and not let it absorb into things. Less light means less resolution quality. Ever notice that when watching other peoples HD videos..things don't look as sharp as say, my newest videos. That's why. The problem obvious with this review, is the figures are themselves, also white hah

@SweBerra Oh i'm not mad lol I just prefer using he white. As i said, it reflects the lighting better and doesn't absorb it. When using any camera, white is always the best. If you can show me anyone that uses a HD camera and has good videos without white backgrounds, show me and i'll take a look

I had all 4 of the '03 turtles at one point. Kind of wish I still had them. Could've sold them to ya for a decent price. ;D I think Raphael had a missing sai though, so that kind of decrease the value of the set.
