Wouldn't life be boring?. We can't make machines to entertain us because machines don't have souls and never will. as Souls work on another plane of existence that bridges over to the physical realm through the brain like a gateway.

  • @willforrhall Decisions are ARRIVED at utilising automated technology and the scientific method used for social concern. The designing will be done by those who are able to do it and prove throuugh their expertise which is the most efficient, sustainable and intelligently functional means. When it comes to disagreements you need to be specific.

  • @willforrhall The desion to have children, just like any decision will be arrived at on an individual basis depending on whether a couple actually need a child. The traditionalised notion of having a child coz you self-servingly "want a family" will be a thing of the past. People will instead think about the impact accumilatively whether the planet can deal with ever more wantonly created life, which it can't. It will be self evident with no control. People will just be smarter about it.

  • @willforrhall First of all it's not "collectivist" per sa, second, the idea of personal property will be a BURDEN in a system where you can travel wherever you want on the planet at zero cost or constraint, and do whatever you want as long as you don't cause a harm or loss to anyone, and where your needs are no longer a worry to be met.

  • @willforrhall None of it would be possible without an entire shift in our value systems. That's one thing that people keep overlooking. They think about an RBE in terms of valuing the same things, craving the same things, and consuming the same things. This is not the case. More than technology, more than architecture, more than the automation that frees humanity and provides for humanity, and RBE is about a new and altruistic value system. This in part will reform human behaviour.

  • @willforrhall As an addition to what I've just said, when we say there will be npo laws, what we mean is that we will culminate a value system which will dramatically reduce the NEED for laws and law enforcement. Eventually we will, given the altruistic values that we aim for eliminate the need for laws etc. altogether. That isn't to say that there won't be any means to deal with wrong-doing, but it'll be centred around getting to the root cause of that behaviour, and solving it there.

  • @leetmaster88 Knowing our inner space and our outer space is imho only possible in how far one can experience these. The VP seems to care for much better surroundings for this than the actual system, but you still must be careful how much responsibility you give away. There are certain basics that can be taken care for by a system, like fresh water, electricity and other resources, but others should be taken personal, like the production of food. People would then have the space for such things.

  • @leetmaster88 I agree with the first statement, and Imho this part is a fantastic aspect and, as far as I understood, It is the core of VP. But this aspect allows a big variety of possible solutions, and the VP seems to deliver specialized solutions where other options could be considered. E.g. I am a fan of permaculture which I find much more beautiful than the greenhouses-towers that are presented.

    What is more valuable than growing your own food and getting awareness of what you eat?

  • I liked their original film "Zeitgeist" (2007), and I think they are milking their fame for all it's worth. I personally think it's a good idea to offer up alternative ideas on how to solve the problem. However, they do come across as very "preachy" and elitist. I wonder however, if their idealism isn't naive, and needs to be tempered with the reality on the ground. Sometimes, passive resistance alone will NOT work! It would not have worked against Hitler, or any modern fascist system!

But as you grew older you found out that the harsh world around you kept you from being exactly what you wanted? Because of financial issues, where you were born etc?   • I'd like somebody to correct me if I'm wrong. As I agree that 'the current system' is definitely not perfect I don't see any real solutions given in the zeitgeist films. Solutions mentioned are "creating systems that will do things right". In my understanding people are trying to create such systems all the time, the problem is not the will to do it but lack of actual practical solutions.

But the difference with TZM is that we advocate a complete overhaul of the system and in fact complete moving out of the monetary paradigm on a global level. This by the way has never been done. We have globally shifted in, but we've never globally shifted out.

    For more solutions, that's just a case of you getting out there and looking for them.

What would the point of living be? How would a world go around if everything was equally available and provided for everyone?

  • What would actually convince ppl that this is indeed the correct way to go is to actually build such a city, and to actually have it work., then you'd have a shining model to show to the skeptics and a legitimate basis to demand change. The real thing wouldn't be without challenges. Anyone volunteering to live in a such a place would have to be committed to the idea, as well as repeated attempts to see such a project be rendered a failure by the current masters of the system today.

  • I know this is the mindset that will enable solutions: even if these are not exactly the direction we as a planet choose. THE epic point of the movement? That the supply and demand model of economy stands against sustainability. That by simply taking care of a problem over and over again we can still have money but by fixing it once and for all would kill our economy. Cut back on purchasing or buy things locally from a produce stand that money will stay local and the farmer would deeply appreciate it. Get envolved in your community. buy a local news paper and get envolved in your community from charity work to elections.   • I do like the idea of a resource based economic system, but how does it differ to socialism (besides not using money)? And then without money, how do you determine things like who gets to live in the nice cities vs who gets to live in the drab rural baron areas?   • @rjthomas23 It doesn't differ from Socialism, it's pretty much the same. I think the Zeitgeist movement has recognised the stigma against the term "socialism" that was a result of Stalin hijacking the term for his dictatorship, and so avoid the term, but the two share a lot in common. These ideas have been around for a very long time, they are by no means original to the Zeitgeist movement.

  • @rjthomas23 Those questions you asked are important ones, that cannot be answered within the constraints of the character limit youtube allows. But such a system would require a paradigm shift among the majority of the human race. People would need to have solidarity, and be willing to put in some hard work in a shit location to better the human race. Remember, industrialisation and use of technology make all these things easier. Garbage trucks here use robotic arms to lift the bins, not people.

Since the internet we've been growing more aware of their corrupt control. The Elite haven't been too smart when it comes to the internet.   • Love the Zeitgeist movement - don't love this video. When I listen to the podcasts of the Italian zeitgeist chapter I smile, feel positive and feel like we can do this!!!!! I feel inspired!!!! They had great success with their positive spirit=D When I watch this I don't get the same feeling, it's too dark and doesn't transmit positivity.

  • I think it might be good to cut the creepy ambient music. Its interesting sound design but mixed with the low key lighting it seems a bit too harsh and mysterious. This is certainly a hopeful solution, not something frightening or horrific. Great content though. Great production value.

What I mean is we the ppl, declare the establishment mental ill and put them on medication. They really need it. They have failed about everything they have done in the last 2-300 years now and it's time for ordinary sane ppl to be in power.

It's the establishment (government, rich parasites, corporations etc) who are calling ordinary ppl mental sick who are really mental ill, and should never been put in power in the first place.     unfortunately, sanity in a money driven society especially in an interest and profit "earning" money driven society, sanity in it's inhabitants is a scarce resource. "Insane" people that get emotionally high from being wealthy and "powerful" will rather eat other people rather than give up their huge money cache. The future is cannibalism sadly.

  • @technatezin I don't agree, where I come from normal sane ppl who have the capacity to everything we need are all around us. The parasites (rich ppl) worst nightmare is this normal not insane ppl who have knowledge how to coop in everyday life, and we all have it :) and they don't :)) they just know how to make money from money, they have not a clue how to survive from day to day! U can't eat money. Thats the beauty of it and it's the way this sick society will eventually come down..

To put people under medication for not agreeing with us is a totally despotic way of thinking even if they are what you call "money ppl". It's a very arrogant thing to assume that we got it right and that whoever disagrees with us must be mentally ill. That arrogance is shared by the global elites who are going after anyone who challenges the established order like i pointed out.

A healthy person does not need medication coz he's not mental ill, got it?? I never said to put anyone on medication for just not agreeing with us, but when a despot always "disagree" with the rest us under gunpoint, because they have all the guns and the "right" to use them on us, do u really think it's "arrogant" to assume they are mental ill? Ofc not

  • @WouldbeSage Yes, I agree. Lots of big visions but I see no path from getting here to there. The Venus Project seems to ignore that the way the world is set up. The banksters have arranged our society for their benefit and at the expense of everyone else. END THE FED is a 1st step. I get sick of the hand waving the Venus Project seems to be about to me.

    Can someone pls explain what a resource based economy means? What would it look like?

  • @911truthncDotOrg U need to take another look at the ZM movies, it's really simple and it's all explained there. A resourced based economy is when it's illegal and not even possible to "buy" more than one needs. As it is now, ppl with to much paper money can buy to much and thus the whole system will become instable and lots of ppl without papers money can't even buy themselves food for the day. All humans have a birthright of the planets resources.

    Just from the get-go every countries resoucres shared out fairly? Come on thats just fanatsy to expect everyone in the world to start co-operating because things will get better.

    But at least they are trying and raising awareness about the real threats to human society. Thumbs up for that!

  • I really like a lot of what Peter Joseph has to say, the interview with him was interesting I wish I could have seen his live musical version, he seems to be a very talented musician as well as an intellect.I cant wait to see the newest movie, its playing in L.A this March, I am there.

    where we would have instead of people, some  corporations in the run for resources ... seen Avatar film ?, does it ring the bell? So same thing would happen if uncivilized & backward people get technology to go to other planet .That is why i say first solve problems here then we can think about moon and beyond .Your idea would work only for members of VP having secret interstellar techn.Take care bro
