I love vallhunds... but I always wondered if you could introduce a kitten into the household of an adult vallhund since they are such fierce herders. How old was your dog when you brought in the cat?
@daffers68 Our SV was three when we added the cat to our pack. I did not encourage our SV to herd and she was socialized a lot. The cat was tested with at least one dog by the breeder to ensure compatibility. These two are get along great--they play fight every day, but it never escalates.
