  • @billkilpatrick - Thanks, Bill! I appreciate your kind words.

  • Bern!! Hi! I have been learning old time and bluegrass fiddle this past year from a really great local musician. I've just lost my nerve.... I've got to post some more. I'm loving old time fiddle... it is really, really cool. It's always really neat to hear from you!

  • hey a new video!! how come i missed this?! i quess id given up on you :) ... this is sounding lively ... like your hair ...

  • Well hello there!! It's sure about time you got busy again....I have really missed ya...That's a nice tune to get restarted with, and now WE ARE READY for some old time , or a little bluegrass...your choice...Get R Done....please.. Your number one hillbilly fan.......*ron

  • @mountnmonkey -- Hi there Ron!!! Hey, I was plain a little Billy in the Low Ground, a Bill Monroe tune, Gold Rush, Bill Cheatham, Poke the Pig's Foot a little Farther in the Fire (I think it's also know as Ruby with the eyes that sparkle), June Apple, Angeline the Baker, Whiskey Before Breakfast. I want to learn more Old Time, that's my favorite, with Bluegrass a hare's breath away from that.

Oh, a couple of other's I need to dust off: Cotton Eye Joe, Lost Indian, Hangman's Reel...

  • @isabellanakahara Those are excellent tunes..we play all but two of them. I'm with you on slightly favoring old time. Billy in the low ground can be traced back over 300 years, and is believed to be Scottish in origin. Fiddlers make it look easy, but very hard playing lead on a guitar...lol..still probably my favorite old time fiddle tune..
