Really liked this game. I think people really take merit away from the developer when they say this is just another God of War ripoff. Dante's Inferno is more of a God of War ripoff. This is exactly how 3D Castlevania-done-right plays. The game is very underrated. I specially love the story.

Personally, I just waited him to use light magic on his staff and launched the shadow flame spell. Since you have endless magic on this fight, it wasn't really difficult, except the gtes on which i failed few times. and agreed with ChaosSwissRoll.

I really didn't think I'd like the voice actors or indeed my first 3D Castlevania, and was definitely impressed by the core game - Some flaws like the over-active camera and it's dodgy angles hiding entrances (LOOKING AT YOU TITAN'S GRAVEYARD), but overall, worth a play - But no-one will take away my epic 2D Castlevanias!

Off the subject. Just beat the game! Good overall but TOO MANY puzzles! No place for puzzles in an adventure game. Must be at least 20-30 if not more. Complaints about puzzles in game call KONAMI at 310-220-8330. Hopefully the next one has no puzzles or animals stealing our relics/magic.

I am not dumb. I am actually an Astrophysicist and yes, this can go all day! Everything is a rip-off of pong or pinball for that matter! Actually, GoW, Halo, Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil, are all rip offs of Castlevania 64! So lick my balls! If you haven't spent countless hours playing and beating the first Castlevaina back in the early 80's, then your opinion is worthless!

Personally, I just waited him to use light magic on his staff and launched the shadow flame spell. Since you have endless magic on this fight, it wasn't really difficult, except the gtes on which i failed few times. and agreed with ChaosSwissRoll.

It contradicts alot of the castlevania story, like as to why the Belmonts hunt dracula. Originally he was a man called Mathias who fought along side the hunter Leon Belmont ...

I really didn't think I'd like the voice actors or indeed my first 3D Castlevania, and was definitely impressed by the core game - Some flaws like the over-active camera and it's dodgy angles hiding entrances (LOOKING AT YOU TITAN'S GRAVEYARD), but overall, worth a play - But no-one will take away my epic 2D Castlevanias!

I wonder - Gabriel Belmont vs. Dante from the Inferno, who would win?
On one hand you've a fighter with a whip-like cross. On the other, a warrior with a scythe. They both are excellent duelists: And both fought Satan in a rather brutal smackdown.
I think that they would be evenly matched - but that's just me.

Off the subject. Just beat the game! Good overall but TOO MANY puzzles! No place for puzzles in an adventure game. Must be at least 20-30 if not more. Complaints about puzzles in game call KONAMI at 310-220-8330. Hopefully the next one has no puzzles or animals stealing our relics/magic.
