Very good demo. Now you said that you strongly discourage setting the drip rate of the IVPB with the primary line in order to avoid changing the primary drip rate (risking fluid overload or inadequate infusion). Our instructor told us unless it's infusing via pump, we need to set IVPB drip rate with the primary line. If it's through pump we can set with the secondary line.Could you clarify what is best practice and under what conditions (via pump as well as via gravity infusion)? T
Best I've seen so far thank you so much for this video, exactly what i needed, this instructor is so thorough and knowledgeable hope she does many more videos.
Thank you sooo very much to post such an informative and lifesaving video. I was looking for this kind of up to date detail video for a long time. Please, keep posting more nursing skill videoes with this instructor. She is very knowledgeable of the fundamentals and critical points.
Thanks for creating this video. You went step by step slowly and explained very clearly. I am a Senior nursing student who is was still a little confused about hanging IV meds and piggy backs because I haven't had much experience with it in the clinical setting. Now that I have watched your video I feel much more comfortable with it.
Great video!

Another thing, I see you're not demonstrating using a pump, are you assuming this is gravity infused? Thank you

Very very good. The good thing is that we have the electronic pumps on the floor so we dont have to count the iv drips.

@raymanlegy, we are developing a script for a video demonstration of the IV pump, so stay tuned...
