  • These are my two most FAVORITE guitar players EVER & unfortunately, this is bit of a lackluster jam. Thanks for sharing, nonetheless. i didn't have to dig out my bootleg Hendrix tapes!!! :)

  • @TheArbiter74 I agree with you, probably they would need more time to develop a real interplay. Anyway, it's a piece of history. McLaughlin is into jazz and fusion, Jimi was into soul and blues. It seems, listening to this jam, that they were trying to find some common ground.

  • @EZIOTHEMASTER Yes, it is definately a shame that they didn't play together more than once, which really makes this a historic event. Miles Davis and Hendrix were also scheduled to have a musical date together, a few weeks before Jimi's death, which never transpired. We can only imagine how that would've turned out! I actually have a bootleg studio, full length album of Prince and Miles together, which is pretty damn good. I'm not the biggest Prince fan, but I love Miles as much as Hendrix!
