Well, this song does exactly show how many "adults" in the '50's thought about rock n' roll. Interesting he's also spoofing his own "Mona Lisa", which did get the rock n' roll treatment from both Carl Mann and Conway Twitty.
Of course, one could say that Nat King Cole himself helped "cause" rock n' roll, since his early jazz recordings influenced many rhythm and blues artists.
