  • Damn! This show is addicting as nicotine through clips on YouTube. I can never seem to get through the real thing on my hard drive as I find it slow and dull. Maybe, it's just the first season.

  • god i hate pres. but lester, string, and mcnulty are the shit

  • @1TtidnaB I don't know if I'd call Stringer Bell a "low life" or "small time." He was a criminal mastermind who had Baltimore wrapped around his finger at several points throughout the series. I'm actually kind of shocked Mcnulty ended up getting him in the end...not soon enough, of course, but still.

  • I'm just getting into the Wire (watched 7 episodes so far) and I can't fucking believe that these two are Britiish? I think that they're two of the most watchable guys in the whole thing as well. Go En-ger-land.

    Fuck

  • im interested in the loft apartments that stringer was talking about..

I mean i would make a deal with the nigga, rather than trying to catch the man.. You know what im saying?

  • @duedfromtheblock nah McNulty couldn't have...it would have been entrapment

  • @BigGravyTheClown

    contrapment

  • love it

  • Yes, they were like brothers and were very close friends, but as time moves on sometimes people just grow apart from each other. The legitimate business was mostly Stringer's real estate deals. When Avon got out, Stringer even told him that they were making so much legitimate money that they didn't even need to worry about selling drugs anymore. Yes, Davis did screw over Stringer, but I'm sure he would've landed on his feet had he not been killed.

  • Freeman is the professor...

  • @gloxkk But not smarter than Omar and Brother Mouzone...

  • @catch22punk he fucked up, he shoulda kept it straight with Avon. At the same time, Avon was a hard-headed motherfucker who didn't have the business mentality that String had. All Avon cared about was territory and rep, not money.

  • @LeBronForTheWin Yeah, but if anything, Stringer should have cut ties with Avon when he was locked up in the Clink and gone into legitimate business. Ironically, it was his reluctant loyalty to Avon, which lead to his downfall.

  • @catch22punk They're like brothers and they're partners, if your brother were to get locked up wouldn't you visit him? What legitimate business are you talking about? String tried to but he got played hard by Davis, shieeeeeeeet

  • @gloxkk Agreed man.

  • This is the De Niro v Pacino Heat moment of the TV universe!

  • mcnulty got trololooloed by stringer

  • Too bad Stringer never made a decision as to which side to choose: the legit side or the drug dealing side. In the end the drug dealing side got him before he decided.

  • Ahh the brits rule! :)

  • ahh man

  • Nice channel

  • Idris Elba and Dominic West, ooooh my God, my ovaries are spitting out eggs at them.

  • Very memorable scene

  • These guys are the best blue-blood actors I've ever see or heard, both of them use American accents very masterfully. Its hard to believe that there British.

  • Christ I love Dominic West <3

  • These two are really fucking good actors.

  • greatest nigger on the whole series. Omar great and all, but Stringer is an interesting character. Nah, nah, actually String be my 2nd favorite. Herc and Carver. Not alone. need em together, you know, same place, sime time, you feel me.

  • @modernfamilydriving suck my big nigger dick llike your white bitches do! GO DIE CRACKA!

  • @blackboysports Whoa whoa, just sharing my opinion and trying to sound ghetto here. Geez.

  • @modernfamilydriving racist prick

  • Best fucking show ever made. I also couldn't imagine a better one coming along.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Idris Elba should have played as Avon as Wood Harris as String?

  • @konatown5 Forever alone... :(

  • If police cant catch a lowlife smalltimer in Baltimore, imagine what the really powerful can get away with.

  • @1TtidnaB the whole point of the show is that there are always structural (i.e. by design) impediments to fighting corruption

  • @1TtidnaB We don't have to imagine we know they get away with everything.

  • "Ah, fuck this bullshit already."

  • Stringer's paper & copy business was only a side business for perpetuating black gangster stereo types.

  • he tried to sell me a condo. hahahah just like that

  • Litter Bug!

  • Shame.. if you know what I mean..

  • @scottyo218 take a look at Luther, he shows his real accent there

  • Stinger Bell is my favorite character, and I still can't believe he's British. Elba sold that accent so well.

  • Yeah, but you could sense his British accent at times!

  • McNulty: He tried to sell me a condo.

  • Why call it the "bank"? Why not just money laundering?

  • @kandinskyforfootball Money laundering? You gonna talk to me about money laundering? Sheeeeeeit.

  • ~ " He may run with the hounds, but his heart is still with the fox "

  • Does someone has a cure for my wireolism? I can't stop coming on youtube to watch this 2 years after finishing the show

  • @jayo2k

Generation Kill can ease the pain temporarily

  • @jayo2k I hear ya man I miss it bad. Oh Bodymore Murderland, how I'd love to just crawl up in your comforting city forever.

  • @johnnyk427 Lol.

  • 2 Brits makin' me a believer....

  • @AnElmandAnOak Dude, it's like picking a favorite child.

  • Is Stringer British? Get the fuck outta here! 4 realz?

  • @Dogfacesoulja8582

lol, yep...couldnt beleive it myself. He's from London, I thought he was from Chicago or Boston!!!!

  • i had such fucking hopes for us...

  • stringer is the best one on this show.

  • and one last thing...stringer really tried to start a union of drug dealers that promoted a non-violence method of selling?? cmon i mean seriously....his own man knew he was losing it

  • @Santosfromazalea

Nah Prop Joe set that up. they called it the co-op. it was mostly the east side dealers, but stringer was gonna jump on it. Stringer always wanted to get further and further from the streets especially after the knockos caught up Avon.

  • @sddd619 yea i agree i kno prop joe set up da co-op its just stringer was ruthless and smart before that and then wanna get non violent and peaceful when he got in ....even tho omar still had it out for him? i didnt understand how he forgot about omar...

  • stringer was not as smart as he thought he was....clay davis screwed him over, he never would have got the real estate thing off the ground anyways...

  • Yeah he got shot anyways :)

  • prez can't act to save his life

  • "You disappoint me String, I had such fuckin' hopes for us."

    Best Fucking Show Ever.

  • Just imagine how powerful Stringer would have become with all of that legitimate income. He could have bought himself plenty of political protection.

  • Both of them British in real life too.

  • I could serious holla at either one of those two.

  • This is such a simple scene, but Clarke Peters nails it. He is such a joy to watch.

  • @TimSPC Stringer Bell is played by Idris Elba, not Clarke Peters.

  • @fhillclem I think Tim was talking about Lester, who's played by Clarke Peters.

  • @TimSPC whos clarke peters

  • @mattkabd Lester Freaman 1:50
