  • Great video

  • do you think i can use both my hv40 and the t2i together or it will not come out good the video i mean

  • @cashimirs Well, the video will be fine, but it might have a different look on the footages taken by these two different cameras ;)

  • Brilliant Video, Nice Footage....which is the hv40 footage?

  • UHGGGGGG!!!, i would do anything to live wear you are!, great vid, what camera do you recommend the most?

  • @curtismichael14 Well, I can help you with moving here ;)

At the moment I using mainly 5D mark II for stills and video, if you can't afford it you can go for 550D or as it is known in USA for T2i.

  • You compressed the video so much

  • too bad it takes for fooooorever to load. thats what she said.

  • :') Great vid...

  • Thanks eftelthing ;)

  • What's the thread size on the HV40?

  • By the way I sold my Legria HV40 last Thursday. Glad to see the back of it.

  • may i ask why you sold the legria hv40? trying to decide on whether to get one or not.

  • I sold mine because I felt it was poor build quality. The picture is ok but to be honest I didn't think it was dramatically better than my Panasonic NV GS300. It certainly aint worth the extra money I paid. The build quality is also worthy of debate because the carrying strap is connected directly to the cassette door and this causes a lot of movement (1mm) but to me that's a lot. Also I found it difficult to sell and had to cut my price drastically.

  • I thought Canon was from Japan.

  • From Wikipedia:

"Precision Optical Instruments Laboratory is the predecessor of Canon Inc. and was founded in Tokyo in 1937 by Takeshi Mitarai, Goro Toshida..."

  • ownage

  • ooooh burn 5000 degrees!

  • What do you think "Canon" actually means ? It has nothing to do with Cannon and shooting bullet ?

"Canon" name actually originated from Japanese word "Kwanon" or "Kannon" which is Buddhist's Goddess of Mercy, Guan Yin. In 1934, Canon logo actually depicted by a thousand-arm Kwannon Goddess.

  • Where did you get the idea that the Yanks founded Canon? The only thing the Yanks are good for is making atomic bombs and invading other peoples countries.

  • oh, and inventing your computer, the software it runs, the network you're conneted to, and the website you're posting on. good for nothing yanks. the brits never invaded anyones country though, right? don't make me knock your teef straight, teabag.

  • Looks like someone removed my sensitive comment so no one knows what the fuck you're going on about .

  • Nope, your comment's still there, and it's still pissing me off.......

  • Well I'll leave it there then just to keep on pissing you off.

  • Okay, thanks. ^_^

  • Agreed.

  • I still see your comment... you're probably experiencing the notorious youtube comment problems, they have never fixed. I don't want a fight with you, just at least think about what you're saying before you attack

  • I did think about what I was writing. Whilst I don't want to criticise the American civilians for what their government does in the name of peace, I do think I'm right about what I said. I klnow we can praise america for a lot of things but on others they are guilty as accused by myself. The good thing about being able to comment on you Tube is that we can all argue and upset each other without fear of the thought police arresting us for being insensitive. Just have a go back.

  • May be in your country it is not ;)))

But you could order it from the rest of the World...lol

  • The name is "Canon LEGRIA HV40"

    And its deffinitly released.

You can get it at amazon

  • I saw one recently in Asia, but they call it a Legria HV40

  • hahaha lol yeah

  • it's compressed for youtube, duh!

  • marketing is fine, but you have to tell us when you are shooting hv20 vs hv40 for comparison or this is spam.

  • I am sorry I didn't explain this in the description ;)

This video is made of footages taken with both cameras. My idea was to show that there is not significunt diffrence in the end result. In fact my opinion is that HV40 is slightly better in low light conditions, but at the moment I am shooting videos mainly with 5D mark II and can bravely say that there is nothing else I could dream of in this moment ;)) If you can afford it with a couple of good lenses you'll be extremely happy as me ;))

  • 5d mark 2 is it better for videos than a hv40 or canon hfs10?

  • Yes, defenitely ;)

    5D is a Revolution!

It offers a whole new world of oprtunities and the image quality is superb.

  • wow...lol does it have the same features as the camcorderS?

  • Not at all ;)

It is Pro DSLR, but if you know what you are doing you can achieve poeffessional video results too ;))

  • so if i want mainly video still get this as it will get better qaulity videos over a hv40 or canon hfs10

  • Depends what you plan to do with this video ;)

Camcorders are easier to use, with 5D mark II you will get much better video quality but you will need more precise work in order to get good results.

If you are planing to shoot for youtube and your family parties I would reccomend Canon HF S10 or Sony XR520 or Panasonic TM300. If you are serious about your work and the superb quality and DOF control is a must then I would recon 5D mark II ;))

  • very well done.

  • thanks!

  • dobro video no sus zuma moge i po dobre:)

  • @bgplotsdotcom super sus zuma moge i po dobre no kato cqlo e mnogo dobre zasneto i montirano:)
