@sweatyballsface couldnt say the exact workings of them. Asked a few questions to operators but its not really something i needed or was that interested to know the ins and outs of. They do have torque and road speed limitations, what exactly limits those im not sure. Regardless tho, increasing the load under any circumstance will not increase psi because thats controlled by the ecu/boost controller & wastegate. It wont provide more boost than its set for - unless its not working correctly.

@modestorigas just so you know - a turbo's boost is controlled by the wastegate. No amount of extra load will create any more boost so long as the wastegate is functioning correctly - which unless its too small or positioned incorrectly it will. If they for some unknown reason wanted to create more load they'll use the dyno brake which is what holds the revs at the start, and what is used to slow the wheels down at the end.... not the brakes on the car.

@saintluke87you are right, but it’s important to know which type of dyno is used, Eddy Current Loader or rolling road inertia dyno . On Eddy Current Loader there is no use of that technique (brake boosting). But an rolling road (inertia) dyno, uses a heavy solid steel drum, and no brake. The drum is free to accelerate, so by pressing throttle and brake at same time you raise the boost and at the right moment you release the brake and you change the result.

@saintluke87 In turbocharged engines the load is a major factor for the boost pressure and not only the waste gate(waste gate controls only the peak of boost pressure, I do not say that you will get more pressure that the waste gate’s allows, I say that you will reach that peak  pressure), see throttling on neutral no load no boost…
