  • @wildberberwoman If you had read the description, you'd have realized that Bogie is an education bird for the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. He was a wild bird whose wing was injured. He was brought to the Center by caring individuals for treatment. His wing was fixed as best as could be, but unfortunately, he can never be released back into the wild, because he can't fly thus he can't hunt. You would have them release him where he'd starve to death. And you think you're an owl lover!

  • @wildberberwoman Are you stupid? No wait, it's not even a question. I bet you think you know everything about owls. You're not a biologist.

  • @QuantumQuacks

Seems like you confuse "Animal Lovers" with "Idiocy".

The two words point to two different concepts... you know?

So you might have not noticed but not all animal lovers are ignorant... You claim that being ignorant for not knowing the difference between a horse and a owl is embarassing? I agree.

Not knowing the difference between climatology and meteorology is embarassing? I agree.

Not knowing the difference between "animal lovers" and "ignorant people" is embarassing as well.

  • @QuantumQuacks monkeys are scary as shit...they're lucky they just got bitch slapped...don't fuck with monkeys. have you seen a person after a monkey attack(youtube it)? I'd honestly rather be mauled by a grizzly bear and not survive then be mauled by a monkey and live to tell the tale. Lol. That sounds like I'm joking but I'm dead serious.

  • I can see where they got that expression of "cat with wings" it really does kind of remind me of a cat.

  • "I'M GONNA RIP YO EYES OUT HUMAN!"

  • WHAT A CUTIE!!!!!!

  • You're a BIG girl, yeh, yeh you are cutie......;-)

  • Nothing I love more than being outside in the pre dawn hours and hearing one of these owls. Supposedly the sound of them hooting can carry several miles on a still night, I always feel honored to hear them. Like nature itself speaking.

  • @Bhav341 you're so right!

  • Owls, such majestic creatures.

  • Can i call him fluffeh?

  • The person talking sounded KW from where the wild things are. And in where the wild things are they had owls called Bob and Terry!

  • So THAT'S what I heard when I was camping with my family. I thought it was an owl I just didn't know what type.

  • - That was good.

    - Hmm!..

  • @narendramartosudarmo bubo is a great horned

  • @narendramartosudarmo bubo like bubo virginianus , their scientific name. lol never seen that movie but now we know why that owl was named that

  • @narendramartosudarmo :DDDDD

I LOVE YOU, AND THAT SEIRIES. But isn't Bubo a Snowy Owl? It more reminds me of Skench or Spoorn.

  • @MoonyPlusPadfoot Bubo and Skench are Great Horned Owls, Spoorn is a Western Screech Owl, while King Boron, Queen Barran, and Aunt Finny are Snowy Owls.

  • @narendramartosudarmo *stands corrected*

  • @MoonyPlusPadfoot as the man said in the orthopaedic shoes

  • @paulyoldmac xD

  • did u catch all of that or do i need to repeat myself

  • @Peppepoppldoppl that's not Hedwig

  • it sounds like its being tickled...

  • he's Santa!

  • I have a tall house with big windows overlooking woods. We are at the same height as birds as a result. Just had an owl mistake something on my tv for prey (I had my tv on in my top floor master bedroom). It tried to fly in my house via some big floor-ceiling windows. Thankfully the big guy wasn't hurt (windows didn't break either). I went outside to check on him. He was fine and hooing.. Thank God. I love having them around. They are nice and great "neighbors".

  • I LOVE OWLS!!!!!!

  • @BEL79NUN Me too.Just got a horned owl tattooed on my upper right wrist.5 hours and it turned out great.Owls are so cool.We have a few that like to hang out in our pecan trees during the summer nights. This past year I got to sneak out and see them. They are so smart.

Cool creature, but I would have a hard time going anywhere near it!

  • DOOOOOOOOOOD

  • OK this sounds ward but if u rub hot sauce on ur chickens the owl will leave them alone because the sent will bother them it will keep dogs cats and moutan lions just about anymember of the dog famaily and owl and cat familys

  • @sarkura123 that would be useless, owls have no sense of smell. that's why they are one of the only natural enemy of skunks by the way.

  • ouhhhh that was good !!

  • I remember one time going on a fishing trip and every night I would hear an owl hooting. I still remember the pattern of his hooting

  • He is so friggin gorgeous!

  • Thumbs up if you have been looking at like 4-5 owl videos, and have never noticed how facinating this creature is.

  • Girl: Oh that was good.

    Owl: Stupid bitch.

  • I love Owls they are so pretty

  • I don't give a HOOT what anyone says...these animals are one of Gods masterpieces. Their eyes pierce your soul, though.

  • Out up a stature or something of an owl that's looking the way to its nest to scare it off

i don't know if it will work though I'm just saying

  • Awesome owl!!

  • I saw an owl sitting on top of my car tonight, which made me watch owl videos on YouTube, it was funny cuz the closer I came the owl tilted his head, and I mean like 180 degree tilt, his head went sideways, then it flew away

  • @JCVDFan1 awesome

  • that's what she said

  • That owl is so cute. I would like to see one staring at me from the tree. Then I reach out my hand or arm, and then he stare at it. Then he fly down and landed on my arm like this one and then hoot. what do you think? :-))

  • Hey owl.. Sorry, it's not fall time or Halloween's scary night yet. Lol :-D

  • Wouldn't want to fuck with this bird. He'll eat your soul.

  • Oooo... I WANT ONE!!!

  • such an amazing bird

  • when the great horned owl looks at someone, it sets the standard for "not to be fucked with".

  • omg kaepora gaebora?!

  • The vocal sac expands just like a frog!

  • My neighbor, the great horn owl, decided to kill 5 of my chickens and continue and I caught him well and alive. Any ideas what I can do so that he won't attack my chickens after letting him go? Forget about covering the chicken from top because they are free range. I respect owls because they are part of the natural environment.

  • @zmanthao "Mention that it is illegal to hurt the owl and that he needs to provide a safe place for the chickens to go at night that the owl can't (coop). Can't get upset with wildlife if you are basicly giving them free food. Also the owl needs to stay in the same area because it is nesting season and it may have young to feed also birds of prey are sight territorial and return to the same area year after year to nest."

  • @darthchase I have a lot of respect for natural and the beauty of this animal. I've already let it go, hope it doesn't attack my chickens anymore.

  • @darthchase

Uh... it's not illegal to kill an owl for getting into your livestock. People do it all the time, actually.

  • @zmanthao ...turn it over to your State Dept of Wildlife. They will take it and either put it in a state or national park or make it part of a nature center exhibit.

  • @biped1of1pandemonium Thanks for the info. Is it a good idea to do what you mentioned during Spring time because it might have young's to feed?

  • @zmanthao >My pleasure....That certainly might be something to consider. I would simply call the state division of wildlife and ask them. I did that when I ran across a racoon with dystemper. I really know nothing about the gestation period of owls. Good luck.

  • @zmanthao

    deport him to Mexico

  • @zmanthao Put a big fake hawk in the yard.

    It will frighten them off.

  • @tweetlebugzz Thank you for the information! I have a scare crow and it did not work. Recently one young horned owl started eating my chicken, I bet its the offspring of the mommy I let go. Anyway, I caught it. I told it, it's ok to eat the rodent and other wild animals but dont eat my chicken and then let it go. I think its working because I haven't seen it since. Beautiful creature and I believe they are needed badly in our environment for pest control. I hope people will not harm them.

  • @zmanthao kill your hcikens and enjoy the wildlife

  • @cactuschris2002 I don't buy meat from the store because they are injected with all kinds of chemicals that weaken you immune system. Raise what you eat is the best way. And the way I look at it is, if you can't kill it, don't eat it, might as well become a veggy. People that let others do the dirty work are getting scammed. I've been to those 10,000 chickens per house in Arkansas and I will never ever eat store chicken again.

  • @zmanthao Buy more Chickens.

  • @zmanthao My son & his family live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where wildlife abounds, including Great Horned Owls. They built a chicken coop and herd them in before dusk. Then let them out to "free range" during the day. Be responsible: build a coop to protect your chickens at night. Yes, it's against the law to harm or kill or catch a Great Horned Owl in the U.S.

  • @zmanthao Have you considered Animal Control or EPA or something like that. Like actual professionals who can maybe rehabilitate the Owl so it won't kill your chickens?

  • @zmanthao Don't kill or hurt the owl. Keep your chickens in a closed barn or coop.

  • @zmanthao Keep it!

  • @zmanthao its either keeping your chickens save from the owl or deal with them being eaten, catching and killing owls is from what I've heard .. illigal.

I have chickens too and I've had a bunch killed by foxes, doesnt mean I go around shooting them, I make sure my chickens space is closed off and fox proof. thats my job as an owner, to keep them save from Nature.

  • @zmanthao Thank you so much for looking for a solution instead of just killing the owl.Maybe alot of scrarecrows.Just a idea.Maybe a motion light too.Owls attack at night mostlly.

  • @sweaterstring I'm beginning to understand these predator bird are a part of us after letting 'em go even though I losted a lot of chickens. We must not kill them. I fenced my chicken right after the attacks and none of my chicken got attack since. No free meal for the horned owl family :-(.

  • What a nice mammal!

  • @amazingdany birds are not mammals. They do not bear live young, they lay eggs. They do not produce milk to feed their young. And they do not have hair, they have feathers.

  • @CHeRNoRMX RUBBISH! They're mammals like you and I... Feathers???? Since when???

  • @amazingdany Mammals suckle... If owls do, then I pass.

  • xxxin México, people say that the owl are witches.....now thats funnyxxx

  • God that is a beautiful owl

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that was short!!

  • scary!

also, i just read that History Channel postulated that the legendary NJ Devil might in fact be a Great Horned Owl. i don't know if i believe THAT, esp. in light of some of the stories about NJ Devil appearances (i am from NJ so i know those stories very well), but this bird looked pretty damn scary so who knows ...

  • now where is harry potter?

  • Haha:)

  • This owl looks so badass it looks like it guards the door to hell or something lol
