@majorkeybaree So a court in a country with the largest Muslim population in the world and an appalling human rights record thinks Tony Blair and George Bush are war criminals? OMG! Arrest them immediately!
I have only seen the first page of comments on this video, and it appalls me that people are still referring to Tony Blair as a war criminal and that the Iraqis "chose" their way of life under the tyrant Saddam Hussein. Such opinions are based upon pure ignorance, plain and simple. I, for one, am happy that yet another tyrant was taken down and had to pay for his crimes; those of you who wish to paint Misters Blair and Bush as "imperialists" need to review the facts. Not the propoganda.
@DAMNAPE1 Very wealthy dog! Well rewarded by his masters. Butcher Blair Forced out of office in the UK for lying to the people about" weapons of mass destruction " Now no less than a PEACE ENVOY for the middle-east .What next? A Nobel prize, he will be in the illustrious company of sinister H.Kissinger who didn't bother telling the American people about the heavy bombing of a neutral country ,Cambodia . Leaving genocidal hatred amongst its population. DOES IRAQ COME TO MIND???
Lies...It it were about the Iraqi people he would not have carpet bombed the cities,,,the first thing they secured when invading were the oil fields. This was the order of the puppet masters above Blair and Bush carried out their dirty work. Same thing Afghanistan. Also why lie about the WMD only to have an excuse to carry out this agenda...no sorry Tony you are the same as Thatcher....a Criminal
@kevj247 yes I will rather prefer Saddam, Gaddafi to western interrest, bomb who make women have children born with learning disability ..Fallujah,,,just because western press do not wanna say it that we dont know..
anyone who feels strongly about iraq, tony blair, war etc.. should put their efforts into actually changing politics rather than just criticising, criticising without justification or explanation is just lazy.
@oliverj5610 He lied to us and got us involved in conflicts that were not only none of our concern and not in our interests but one of them has no end and no achievable end. We will never get rid of the Taliban and we burnt Iraq to the ground on lies and for oil. Nothing else.
As part of the 'essential' relationship between the UK and the US, the UK side of the deal is to follow the US into war. If anyone, George Bush is the war criminal. Tony Blair was a good Prime Minister, but he's now being penalised for a decision that wasn't his own (although the Iraq war positives outweigh the negatives anyway).
The UN's - which, we kept being told, was what Bush and Blair should have gone through.
So no war AND no sanctions? In other words, give Saddam all he wanted.
Saddam was overthrown in a matter of weeks - the subsequent decision to make Iraq ungovernable was made, not by the Iraqi people, but the so-called 'insurgents' who claimed to represent them.
Where is the middle East peace envoy now? Look at his mate Col Gaddafi he is not so smug now, hope he offers his mate his back garden, in his posh home so Gaddafi can pitch his tent there whilst in exile!!!!
Tony Blair is a war criminal, for the same reason half century ago in Nuremberg we prosecuted and hang the Nazi criminals,Tony Blair must be brought to the justice, this is the Great Britain country of justice, democracy and humanity.
Tortured soul. The Labour government did so muc good for Britain post 1997 after the tide of Tory crap was washed away, but then it all got swamped by the disaster of Iraq.
1:25 yes tony....there are many extra children living in iraq now who have bodies infested with depleted uranium and other shit caused by your bombs.....not to mention the thousands of kids that are born deformed
What Blair said in regards to the Iraqi children dying under Saddam, if the U.S. and Britain had of allowed western medicines into Iraq, that would have cut those numbers down hugely. Just on that why didn't the U.S. and U.K. invade Burma or Zimbabwae or Congo to stop tyranny and deaths of civilians. Simple answer there wasn't any oil and they didn't threaten Israel. Shame on you Blair for all the good you tried to do in Northern Ireland, now you have blood of millions on your hands.
Hypocrite! His face, his smile says; you (Tubridy and viewers alike), are under my thumb. How can Blair have the guts to defend invading Iraq, killing thousands of innocent people in the process (lets forget about the weapons of mass destruction, stupids!), while he let another mass murderer escape back to freedom in Chile. Yes, his London-holidaying buddy Pinochet who killed, tortured and exiled as many people as Saddam. And Blair, on 9/11 was Pinochet’s coup d'état !
@Colston Nope. They can't even keep the electricity on as long as they did under Saddam with the sanctions. Virtually all the remaining Christians have been cleared out. Millions of refugees. Virtually all the doctors ran like hell away after the religious crazies took over.
It is not a coincidence that Blair's memoirs and his tours around the world are released now when all media outlets boast about the war in Iraq being over (which isn't anywhere close to the truth). The true purpose behind it is to cover the original lie of Bush and Blair and their true motive behind the war (Iraqi oil), which cost Iraqi people thousands of lives.
I WAS THERE TODAY AS WERE MANY OTHERS AND THE VICIOUSNESS OF THE GUARDS WAS DISGRACEFUL-HAVE THEY FORGOTTEN THAT THE GOVERNMENT KEEPS CUTTING THERE WAGES TOO?-HOW MANY WAGE CUTS WILL IT TAKE UNTIL THE GARDAI ARE ON OUR SIDE OF THE BARRIERS?-I FEAR THEY NEVER WILL!
Is there any chance you can put all this interview on youtube for all the Irish expats who cannot gain access to the RTE iPlayer due foreign IP addresses. RTE should understand that due to economic climate in Ireland many folk have gone abroad to seek work but would still like to keep abreast of Irish media. Unfortunately this is not possible because of foreign IP restrictions. Hmm, now how do I get to watch the All Ireland Final tomo...................
He didnt "take that decision" with Saddam, that he claims here. He said early on that Saddam could stay in power if he gave up his Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD's), meaning if Saddam never had any WMD's he could stay in power. So Blair/Bush invade, it turns out Saddam never had any WMD's, then Blair says it was worth it to get rid of Saddam. This proves Blair is a lier and that he pretends that differnt things were in the thinking than really were. He changed the criteria, and he's a bad man.
Do you think Saddam should be cloned and put back in power and the Iraqis, the millions of Iraqis who have voted for democratic government and today have human rights and freedoms, should be told that the party is over? Iraqis should be denied a future and a change at a better life???
"undr Saddam" = "under UN sanctions" children needlessly died.
Bush n Blair found to be war criminals in Indonesian court, search it.
Peace for Peace, not War for Peace.

He should be prosecuted and a court of law should decide if he is a war criminal.
If I am taken to court for £200 of council tax then he should be taken to court for deciding to wage an aggressive war that killed thousands.

Who cares if Iraqis were dying at the hands of their tyrant, Saddam. That was a problem for Iraqis, not Brits or Americans.
Blair is worse than a war criminal. He's a liar who misled his countrymen with the tricks that politicians possess.

@TruthAxe Of course. The very notion that the underlying reason for the invasion of Iraq was for the freedom of Iraqi people is an insult.
