  • Rogers and Bell TV is bad. This is why I don't have a single TV in my home.

    Yet I have many computers.

    Can anyone say "INTERNET TV"!!!!?!?!?!?

  • THEESE GREEDY FACIST NAZI FOCKS NEED TO BE TOLD THEY CANT RAPE OUR POCKET BOOKS, THEY CREATED THE PROBLEM WITH THIS NEW FIBER 100+MBPS CONNECTIONS THEN BLAME PEOPLE FOR USING IT , WAKE UP PEOPLE LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE AND QUESTION EVERYTHING CAUSE WE ARE ALL BEING RAPED BY CORPORATIONS , THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND OUR GOVERNMENTS AND EVEN WORST FORIEGNERS IN THE CRTC DICTATING TO US GO BACK TO UR OWN COUNTRY AND DICTATE THERE WE ARE A FREE COUNTRY

  • This "Money Pit" they call the C.B.C. is already funded by the taxpayer to the annual tune of $1,200,000,000,00. What a waste of taxpayer dollars.

  • Another one of my posts is gone! I'm telling you, this is all a ploy to destroy our capatalist society. You've been warned!

  • I'm with Kaybeck on this one. I happen to know for a fact that this "Sean Sullivan" is a communist supporter. I'm sure this post, like the other 73 I've made will vanish as well!

  • wow. even I didn't know that about myself! Thanks for enlightening me, cause I thought I was just an apolitical consumer tired of being ripped off by an oligarchy. Lol. Communist? Cute.

  • I can see your house. I know commie when I see it!!!! Chessboard with no pieces. Using the LEFT hand with the remote!!! Two YELLOW BALLS! Commie notepad on the bill!!! I know the truth!

  • First, I've deleted nothing, second, the fee is a government mandated fee directed at BDU's by the CRTC. the mandate clearly states that the revenue was to come from the BDU's gross revenue. rather than absorbing that cost, the BDUs decided to pass it on. That's what had me angry, that's why I contacted the CBC after I wrote a letter to the CRTC!

  • Why do the comments keep disappearing? Are you deleting them, or is this a YouTube glitch?

  • I have not deleted anything. I suspect a glitch.

  • Apologies, but it looks like you deleted it anyways.

If I've been overly suspicious of the savelocaltv campaign, it's because they refuse to allow comments anymore after they saw so many people disagree with their blog posts.

  • I have no issues with comments. if someone is not aware of the facts, I'd rather correct them than ignore them :)

  • Wow. Really biased reporting from the CBC.

Both the networks and the cable co's are corporations, they have shareholders to answer to. The shareholders want the networks to make up their losses so they hit up the cable company.

The cable company shareholders demand the same thing so they hit up the subscribers.

This whole campaign is just the networks trying to direct people's outrage to the cable companies instead of themselves.

  • First, this is not a network campaign. I am an irate citizen, mad at a regulated broadcast system that protects corporations without providing the consumer with ANY protection. Basic Cable used to be regulated. They deregulated in 2002, and rates have gone up more than 70% since. BDUs pays for US stations and do NOT pay for Canadian stations. I know theyre beholden to shareholders, but 44% publically reported profits and refusing to absorb a fee to support local content is egregious.

  • Agreed. I can't believe CBC put up a big red message saying "I've had enough! How about you!"

    Someone should call the CRTC.

  • This channel is fake, created by someone working for the Networks.

  • Um... no. I am Sean Sullivan (the guy in the video), and you know what? I posted this as MrStudyman. I could have deleted your comment as ignorant, but instead I will refute it. This aired on the CBC in Ottawa, and then on the National. The date for the Ottawa news is accurate. Next time, check your sources before commenting, CBC Ottawa would have confirmed that the story aired. :)
