  • This is the reason I love this show....how many shows today do you hear them talking about religion, or spanking kids in the outhouse? Oh, and I loved when Ernest T. or the Darlings come to town!

  • Poor Barney! LMAO!

  • witch ones

  • I saw the Dillards in concert with The Earl Shcruggs Review back in about 1976 or 1977 at the Rainbow Music Hall in Denver Colorado with my Mom and my little brother. Probably the best concert I've ever been to.

  • Hi Lonnie! May I present rare footage of the missing Dillard daughter....

Search "Peaches Andy Griffith" and watch the first video in the results.

Seriously, I always loved it when the Darlings/Dillards rode into town.

  • my favorite song on one of my favorite episodes of my favorite show

I LOVE BEING A FOURTEEN YEAR OLD MINNEOSOTAN GIRL WHO LISTENS TO BLUEGRASS GOSPEL AND WATCHES ANDY GRIFFITH!!!!!

  • Such harmony! I really like the song they sing on a couple of episodes called "Dooley"

  • Yep, Dooley is a real folk song, not a well known one, usually confused with Tom Dooley. Actually all of the songs that the Darlings (Dillards) play are traditional songs except for Doug's Tune, when Mr. Darling was "declarin' fer Aunt Bee" haha. They are a really good old-time/bluegrass band.

  • The Dillards are definately amazing! I dont think I've ever seen the episode of Mr. Darling declarin' fer Bee! I'll have to find it.

  • Haha, I'm pretty sure it's my favorite episode.

    Good luck finding it!
