  • Thanks princette. Splendid! I measured 87 degrees f(in the shade) in my garden this afternoon. It has been hotter in London...early 90's.

    Since you have relatively mild winters. There must be some plants or trees that continue to produce leaves and flowers all year round, especially in the North Island right?

    We have 2 Eucalyptus trees in our garden( I always associate them with Australia)They are very hardy, grow very fast and never losea lltheir leaves even when its minus 7/8 degrees c.
