The MC mentioned "Blues for Jimmy" and Garland agreed. In spite of this, the front-line plays "Tin Roof". Once a band gets past the first couple of choruses and starts improvising any blues (or other piece of music) may be quoted from.
Fantastic! Saw The Legends with Joe Darensberg on clarinet at 100-club in London. This is the actual number I requested because of Ed Garland's bass playing. Brought back many memories. Many, many thanks for this almost forgotten had good the band was.

This is "Tin Roof Blues", not "Blues for Jimmy".

Just listen to what Montudy Garland says. In fact it's a combination of several Blues!
