  • The MC mentioned "Blues for Jimmy" and Garland agreed. In spite of this, the front-line plays "Tin Roof". Once a band gets past the first couple of choruses and starts improvising any blues (or other piece of music) may be quoted from.

  • This is "Tin Roof Blues", not "Blues for Jimmy".

  • Just listen to what Montudy Garland says. In fact it's a combination of several Blues!

  • Forgot to ask. Is there a video or DVD available for The Legends?

  • Fantastic! Saw The Legends with Joe Darensberg on clarinet at 100-club in London. This is the actual number I requested because of Ed Garland's bass playing. Brought back many memories. Many, many thanks for this almost forgotten had good the band was.
