I have seen kids torture hamsters, and this child ain't one of them. She is really gentle with it. That is great parenting. If the hamster was tortured , it would probably squeak and be more agitated.

The slide and things came with some of my daughters plastic toy dogs. For others that asked why he doesnt have a real home. We do not leave the hamster in this red container. His real cage is in the background with bedding and cardboard tubes, regular food and water. We only were playing with him for a little bit in this and giving him some extra love.

Hamsters are no toys and nothing for children! Hamsters sleep the most time by day and call up is very bad for their hearts! Why always this american plastic shit? I´ve never seen a "US-hamster" in a big aquarium or terrarium! Always this full-plastic scary colored castles! Is animal protection unknown in the US? I mean a species-appropriate home with different kinds of litter, real wood houses, a sand-bath for the coat etc! Hamsters dig and build tubes! Thats impossible in a plastic world...

he's really tame, especially for a dwarf hamster! i thought he was going to turn around and bite the kid's finger off in a moment of shock! :s really cute hamster :) try not to stress him out too much with the whole moving wheelbarrow thing etc. n try not to use the little fellow as entertainment for kids!
