I kinda agree with you guys. When I saw the trailer for the spirit I thought this looks to much like sin city. If your going to make it look just like sin city just make a sin city 2. Frank Miller should grow as an artist and not just do the same old thing over and over again. But, I will see it and give it the benefit of a doubt.

5 Spirit Movie -- I'm afraid it will completely ignore Eisner's stuff. It'll be Sin City, 1940's style. Maybe even with the nudity and blood that the Spirit mag didn't have. It may be a good story, like Sin City... But I'm scared it won't be the Spirit.

Wow, covering a lot of stuff today and not annoying me at all! Let's get to it:

1 I love the Ultimate stuff mostly. I'll check this out as a trade.

2 I hate taking one top selling title and making multi titles about it. How many x-men/spider-man titles do we need? At least the Avengers have a reason and different line up. But I also hate when a title is nothing but back story and prelude to something else. Give the history, but tell a story!

3 Countdown.. I so don't care. Listen to Pete here!

You guys are totally right about the Spirit. Very disappointed that Miller, who was treated so well by hollywood translations, would throw out Eisner's vision for the Spirit in favour of his own. It was Frank Miller's 300, Frank Miller's Sin City, but this is just The Spirit directed by Frank Miller. Very telling.

i think THE SPIRIT could be cool...it's kind of like if frank miller took over after darwyn cooke's run and was writer/artist as well...except for it's a feature film

not happy to hear the last ish of ult human is just a fight...

new avengers sounds cool but it's starting to annoy me that bendis never really explores the hero's alter egos in those books - it's all costume all the time
