  • Wait, how come the bar doesn't just snap off when you twist it like that?

  • Lot of tanks use this one. How long its gonna last? I mean, a tank battle will use it much as the terrain is unpredictable. Is that kind of suspension will last long?

  • @lunkprab Like you said, lots of tanks use torsion bar suspensions. And tanks are expensive... why would governments waste money on hardware that doesn't work?

  • @lunkprab torsion bar suspension is extremely good. It has been in use for seventy years, and probably will be for seventy more. Unlike coil springs or hydropneumatic, there is no limit really to the compression of the spring in size along the side of the vehicle (coil springs, for a 75cm spring, might only have 25cm of compression--the physical size of the spring gets in the way. Air springs or hydropneumatic, for 75cm, max at maybe 35cm). T-bars are cheap and tough too.

  • Now I get how it works, thanks

  • Simples!

  • Thanks, really helped!

  • Thanks for the video, was looking for it since a while :P
