This sounds like the original Deana Carter version. If I remember correctly she is the one that actually recorded it first. I can't remember the name of the woman that sang it for the Disney movie Anastasia.
^^ hee hee your comment tickled me, because I used to wonder the same thing, but dancing bears were a tradition in russia back then, in fact they might still be today I don't know if it's been banned over there yet. basically they had bears chained up and they trained them to dance, I'm unsure as to how cruel this actually was though compared to like a bear pit.
ive absolutly love that song...so peaceful, and calming too... make me want to sing it.. i made so many pictures about the movie once i saw it... its really to bad that it did not go far out like the other movies narnia did.. it wopuld have been great if more people had watched it.. it is aslo one og my favborite disney movies..*sigh*
irock4ever06, AnastasiA isn't a Disney movie, it's 20th Century Fox. And it did go 'far out'. There was even train sets and decorations in all the Burger Kings. 'Dancing Bears' is not from chained up bears or whatever someone said, it's taken from the decor. BTW, a bear is the kind of animal characterization of Russia and the Tsar.
you are right. i don't know where disney came from. it doesn't even look like a disney production. but i still love the song. own the barbie (which is totally in storage). good times good times
great pictures

This is Deana Carter's version. I think this one sounds a lot better than the one used in the movie too.
