John was always my all-time SUPER fav until he changed the lyrics to Small Town!!! Fu*** that he married Elaine, and divorced homegirl.  When you put your song out to the public...WE own it!!!! These two songs rule! I know John isn't paritcularly proud of them, becuase they do borrow a lot and carry the same formulaic or generic hooks as many other pop songs.

But these song have his personal spin/energy on music and his incomparable voice.

John shouldn't really be ashamed of any of his music.
