Alexis solos are mostly faster, but an important difference is that Dave plays his solos flawless on-stage while Alexi plays really sloppy. And find it harder to play Megadeths solos since all you gotta do to play CoBs solos is to learn the sweeps, and then the rest might be a bit sloppy but still sounds just like Alexi

If that's what you believe, then you're just completely lost. Dave's solos are real simple and all you have to know is the pentatonic scale and you basically know how to play all of his solos.

If you take a look at Dave when he was younger he never made big mistakes on-stage, at least not from what I've seen. And YES I've been watching rather many videos with CoB both new and old, and I agree, he has improved, but he is still far away from the "flawless"-level

@ThePergustav Alexi in his younger days (around 18-24 years old) was really accurate playing live. Look them up in Seoul, Tuska, etc. Very phenomenal performances, but as his drinking became an everyday thing, he got sloppier + the broken wrist.

Depends how you grade it. Alexi has always been miles above Dave without question. But on musicianship I would still go with Alexi if you count his earlier albums which were masterfully composed. But in modern times, I would actually go with dave.

They are both awesome. A few comments though...Mustaine was playing guitar when Laiho was sperm in his dads nutsack. I wouldnt consider Mustaine the lead guitarist, he solos but he usually does rhythms, and they're the best known to man. Try Friedman or Broderick vs Laiho...those are the best soloers. Overall good stuff though, i dont listen to Children of Bodom but iam kinda interested now...Laiho was beast mode. I like his style with all the tapping and squeelies.
