The new remake is trying to be closer to what Godzilla originally was. There's only two godzillas, the remake in america, and the 28 japanese movies from 1954-2004. The roar in this video was in one of the japanese movies.

Dude I've loved Godzilla since I was a small child. But seriously... It's 2012. Fuck the suit. Do cgi. It's still Godzilla. Sometimes traditions suck. Like bull fighting or annual human sacrifice of a virgin. Cgi would look a lot cooler and there not trying to impress a bunch of fan boys they are trying to draw in all of America. And the average everyday person doesn't wanna see a Japanese guy in a rubber monster suit.

@isellthedead13 The reason they didn't use Cgi is because they weren't that good at it. I mean, have you ever seen some of the the under water cutscenes? horrible. Have you seen the PRE-RENDERED cutscenes in Godzilla: Save the Earth? horrible. Cgi can either look REALLY good, or look REALLY bad depending on what it is. this was the best attempt at a cgi Godzilla i've ever scene (thought this wasn't toho's doing), but the recent rubber suits are still better.

@isellthedead13 and this was WAY to much CGI. the point of using rubber suits, was to add realistic detail, and the Millennium era of Godzilla films captured that aspect greatly, especially the 2001 film. to get that kind of detail on a cgi Godzilla would cost a great deal, yet anything less would be cheezy and unacceptable. Cgi just hasn't come that far yet in my opinion. It's come far don't get me wrong, but not far enough for what you're suggesting.

I hate to blow everyone's bubble, but this scene was from a movie called Always Sunset On 3rd Street 2, that had nothing to do with Godzilla except for the fact the guy had a dream with Godzilla in it. I am certain that Godzilla will return though. At the end of Final Wars, Godzilla swims off. This tells me they are just giving him a little rest, and Godzilla shall return in the future. This has happened at least three times in Godzilla 50 years on the big screen.

No Godzilla has always been male... He was always male in the Toho version's but he adopted 2 Godzillasaurus's that were among the same species.
