Just because the ending didn't end with a huge battle and celebration doesn't mean it's a cliffhanger. The ending is more of a personal victory for the exile and her companions, and it's deeper than the ending of the first KOTOR. The sad the about the MMO is that it will loose all of that depth and personal character development because MMOs can't tell personal stories due to not having central protagonists.

You know what they should do even though it'll never happen? For the 360, release a trilogy pack with the first game with updated graphics, the second game except actually finished and with updated graphics, and the third game that we never got which explains what happens to Revan and the Exile, where you play as a new character and have Revan and the Exile as party members, choosing if they were light/dark and male/female, along with cameos from all of the party members of the first two games.
i think it was a bad idea to make the old republic a mmo, they should have instead made kotor 3.... to me it would have made more sense because what people liked about the series the most is the story telling, and i feel that a mmo will not have the same feel that a single-player rpg has especially when it comes to a story... but we wont know until its released and if anyone can pull off a mmo with a good story its bioware

people love to hate this game due to the ending not matching its prequel's amazing ending(s) but i have no problem or no hate about this one. everyone's life unfolds in happiness and fulfillment. the exile's place of 'wounding' is destroyed and the ebon hawk escapes the collapsing hell. it almost forces you to be a light sided character with an ending like that =P

@camen981 well they have a mission directly about raiding the tomb of revan (something along those lines) and it sounds fairly detailed. even how he ended up there.
@camen981 The story of Revan will be explained in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Everything Kreia predicted was setting the story for the SWTOR. The True Sith she mentions is the Sith Empire that eventually attacks the Republic 200 hundred years after the events shown in KOTOR 1 and 2.
Sorry to burst your bubble and all... but no. TOR takes place hundreds of year after this, and what she is talking about is discovering the true sith. However, in TOR, one of the main race options is the sith pureblood, and the main enemy is the true sith, so there will still be a gaping whole in the story line in which won't be filled. Unless the storyboard that was decided to be thrown out along with the characters is recovered and developed into a game

@froghunter320 Yeah, but it's the flashpoints that you're paying for really. Which to be honest, I don't mind. $15 is not a lot for me, being 16 with no real responsibilities other than gas money. Not trying to justify it in anyway, but just my view on it.
I love KOTOR! Especially 2. Kreia brings up so many interesting philosophical questions that NONE of the movies ever addresses, is the light side really good? Is the dark side truely evil? Do the Jedi bring more damage than harm? Is the galaxy better off without the Jedi? Is the force good or damaging? Is one better off without the force or with it? Shes not just one of the best characters in the star war universe, shes a contender for best character EVER! Complex and thought-provoking.

I guess this ending is a bit less depressing then my own. Kreia went on about the various tragic fates of my friends, and how I will eventually follow Revan to a place unknown.
It didn't even have the courtesy to show me leaving the planet...
I think the real tragedy is how little it all eventually meant. The Exile, in the end, follows Revan's shadow. All the connections they made to their companions will ultimately remain feelings unspoken, and the galaxy will beat on, in darkness

hi did you skip a bit of the ending before the ship cutscene? i just finished this game and wondering if you got the same ending...visas comes out and asks to come along with you and then after dialog you walk out and atton is waiting against one of the columns. does this change depending on influence you have with characters?

When I was at the Trayus Academy, I found a lot of saber crystals. But the ironic thing is there were no workbenches to upgrade a lightsaber, bringing the question: What's the point of all the saber crystals I find there?
@eas26 True it's not a BAD game. But I don't think it was GREAT either. It WOULD have been great, had it been released with all of the content intact. In fact, I think it would've been better than its predecessor. The problem is, LucasArts rushed it onto the market, and so it never got the chance to be better than KOTOR I. As is, it is a good game, but not as good as it could've been, or as good as I was expecting. Though, I must admit, Kreia has got to be one of my all-time favorite characters.
@jcool628 I don't know if i would count those books that take place after Return of The Jedi canon unless George Lucas says there canon himself. Because those books also say Darth Sidious comes back to life and I think he should've died when Anakin throws him down the reactor shaft of Death Star 2. With Emperor Palpatine coming back to life it destroys the purpose of Anakin being The Chosen One.

is it the same ending if its the guy character. i know that disciple is with the female and handmaiden is with male. i just beat it a few minutes ago lol but i'm just wondering if this is just it?

hi did you skip a bit of the ending before the ship cutscene? i just finished this game and wondering if you got the same ending...visas comes out and asks to come along with you and then after dialog you walk out and atton is waiting against one of the columns. does this change depending on influence you have with characters?

Revam and the exile fighting side by side and what the REAL sith would have been like if Sion and nihilus were the posers Lucas arts really messed up not making a third kotor because tor looks like it has nothing to do with revan and the exile- the two greatest characters in star wars history

@eas26 True it's not a BAD game. But I don't think it was GREAT either. It WOULD have been great, had it been released with all of the content intact. In fact, I think it would've been better than its predecessor. The problem is, LucasArts rushed it onto the market, and so it never got the chance to be better than KOTOR I. As is, it is a good game, but not as good as it could've been, or as good as I was expecting. Though, I must admit, Kreia has got to be one of my all-time favorite characters.

@jcool628 I don't know if i would count those books that take place after Return of The Jedi canon unless George Lucas says there canon himself. Because those books also say Darth Sidious comes back to life and I think he should've died when Anakin throws him down the reactor shaft of Death Star 2. With Emperor Palpatine coming back to life it destroys the purpose of Anakin being The Chosen One.

just finished the game...damn i did wanted a good ending this just leaves only questions so fans will have to play tor :/ i wish they will explain in ToR what happens to revan exile and the rest from both kotor....i also read in comm here that you can play the tor not like a mmo but like the other two kotor...anyway i think i prefer koto1 ....
