There is nothing wrong with a president being popular amongst Americans, particularly one who connects as closely to specific demographics as Obama does. It's been a while since we had a popular president, so yeah it does feel unsettling now.

Here's a thought. Any parents worried about socialism, pull your kids from public school altogether. It's one of the most socialist programs around... Free education for any child in the district? There is nothing wrong with a president being popular amongst Americans, particularly one who connects as closely to specific demographics as Obama does. It's been a while since we had a popular president, so yeah it does feel unsettling now.
What I was saying earlier is that as people pursue higher forms of education, they are more likely to vote liberally. College graduates vote largely democratic, upper-level graduates even more so.
