Chicago was the first to turn lights off during intros

  • Ariel IS GAY

  • helwanis ballsack

  • Rockets win!

  • ArielHelwani LIKED THIS VIDEO! lol

  • @HRVTD hahahahahaha <<yeah

  • @HRVTD ariel helwani is a reptilian shapeshifting super jew

  • Ahhhhh! The good ol' days, when I cared about basketball.....

  • Intro > D'Antoni

  • you hear that saxophone?!

  • Pat ricccccccccccccccc hueeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wingggggggggggggggg

  • the knicks should have professional wrestling like entrances... that be awesome......

  • If the Knicks brought this intro back.. forget it.. the Garden would explode!

  • Anthony Mason is my favorite old time Knick but this was a classic team

  • aside from ewing, we had nobody. for ewing to even bring this team to the finals is amazing. most underrated of all the hall of fame centers.

  • @enjaykix

i wouldn't go as far as to say the 1994 knicks had "nobody...

john starks, charles oakley, derak harper and anthony mason were all quality players..

  • @nochey78 smh

  • @enjaykix

    what do you mean "smh"???

john starks and charles oakley both mad it to the all-star team in 1994..

derek harper had made it to all-star teams in years before...and anthony mason made it to a few all-star teams a few years after that if i'm not mistaken.

so yeah, patrick ewing did have help

  • @nochey78 you've got to have a better arguement than that.....one time all-stars...you've got to be kidding me. any future hall of famers besides ewing? jordan played alongside 2 other future hall of famers in pippen and rodman. please just don't recite what you read on the internet. you must be too young to even have watched these games back then.

  • @enjaykix

so what they were "one time all-stars"!!! if they weren't quality players they wouldn't have even made it that one time...going on your logic, i guess derek harper was garbage because because he never made it to an all-star team right??

and you're going of on a tangent big time...so what patrick ewing didn't play along side any future hall of famers???he still had quality teammates in the 90"s on......

  • @enjaykix ..contd...if that's not the case, then explain to me how the knicks got all the way to game 7 of the 1994 finals.....do you think ewing did that all by himself???

also, explain how the rockets squeaked past the knicks in the 1994 finals???how many future hall-of-famers did hakeem olajuwon play along side that year?( and don't bring up clyde drexler...that was 1995)..

also, when the 1994 finals were on i was finishing my sophomore year in high school...so i'm old enough..

  • @enjaykix Well Starks was always hot and cold...Never knew what you'd get with him...Harper was a solid player though dating back to his days in Dallas...

  • @VancouverChokers

starks was streaky...but he was good...

  • get chills every time I watch this

  • de....rek......HARRPERRR!!!

  • Man, I really want to cry. So many great players who never got a ring. :'(

  • Born as a Knickbocker fan and will die a Knickerbocker fan...I'm so damn proud =)

  • GO NY GO NY GO!

  • Now... please welcome your 1994 Eastern Conference Champions. Your NEW ... YORK...KNICKS!!!!

And at center... at 7 feet from Georgetown...#33 Co-Captain.. PAT..RICK EWING!!

So awsome! Why don't they do this anymore?

  • The OJ Game was on Friday, June 17, 1994; That was a Friday Night. Remember OJ was still employed by NBC at the time and Costas made a comment regarding the matter at the beginning of Game 5. Game 3 was on a Sunday Evening. Back during the NBC era the Finals was played on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Knicks won game 2, 4, 5 and went back to Houston with a 3-2 lead on Father's Day 1994!

  • @jrussell04 And don't forget the Football World Cup which was starting these days. So yes, this was a romantic time :)

  • @jrussell04 The Cassell shot in game 3 was the biggest play of the Finals not Hakeem's tip on Starks. If Cassell doesnt hit that shot this was the game in which the Knicks would have won the title.

    (Rockets fan BTW)

  • thisis so sick!

  • classic dude... wow i miss ewing... it all went downhill when he left, YOU NEVER TRADE AWAY A LEGEND lol @ glen rice

  • As good as Derek Harper was, I think we had a better shot with Doc Rivers...it's unfortunate that he got hurt...but I'm happy that Harper got to play in a Knick uniform.

  • Don't matter... Y'all Still Lost To Our Houston Rockets... Ewing Is Still Dizzy...From The Dream Shake

  • @poorboysdream since then your team is s@@# and your team won because starks shot it 20 times and made basket twice in game 7 but lets be real if jordan didn't think he could play baseball your 2 titles would never happened the bulls would have won 8 straight and hakeem would have been sick with jordan gatorade

  • Comment removed

  • @GiantsKnck That's right and the Knicks would still be trying to sniff the ass crack of a finals appearance if it wasn't for 99. Jordan was back during our second run before the end of the season in 95 and the Bulls got run over by the Shaq train and the Magic in the playoffs because that Bulls team didn't have an actual threat on the inside at all. Who's to say the Magic couldn't have knocked the Bulls off that second run if Shaq doesn't leave Orlando. But like this debate, we'll never know.

  • @texans420 shaq had a poor series in 95 and the magic won in 6 and they came back down by 6 with 5 minutes to go so they didn't get run over and in 96 the magic got sweept

  • @GiantsKnck Just the Bulls losing was still a big deal regardless of Jordan being there or not. W/O MJ, to push that 94 Knick team to a game 7 at all was still a pretty impressive feat. If the Bulls had Horace Grant playing for them and not Orlando, I do think Chicago could have won the east in 95 but maybe that's me being a Grant mark. I still feel in my own mind that if Seattle doesn't screw up against Denver, the Rockets were not beating the Sonics in 94 because they always had our number

  • knicks won that oj game! Blame the knicks for not making game 6 their game 7!

  • @77danigga actually they lost game 3, the OJ game...

  • @77danigga actually they lost game 3, the OJ game... Sam Cassell hit a final minute shot

  • @busyb316 the oj game was game 5, look it up

  • @busyb316- It was Game 5 my friend. Look up any archive.

  • @islandblader seems I am wrong, looks like I blocked those bad memories out.

  • goosebumps and the feeling like your about to hurl.

    Ewing is God. Go Knicks

  • All REAL Knick fans get goosebumps just watching this shit.

  • I get Goosebumps watching this.... we're back baby. Go ny go ny go!!!

  • I love this intro!!!

  • man this is the first time i actaully look at this this series hurt me soo much we shouldve won that yr. we had the best oppourtunity eva wit m.j. playing baseball the rocket was a good squad but we was a better team ... dereck harper probably play the best ball in his life doing that series we had them going back to houston and to this day i can never watch this series when it come on nba tv cuz i get so upset lol

  • Derek Harper would have won Finals MVP if the Knicks won this series. He simply dominated Kenny Smith.

  • @jcabale17 Yeah he did, he totally put the clamps down on Kenny Smith and that's one of the biggest reasons why the Knicks became a much stronger defensive team during their glory days because of Derek's quick defense. Oh the Knicks definitely had the championship won in 1994.

  • @nutritionjuice23 its just not fair that it had to end that way

  • @metalmadness00 I totally agree, it's so sad that the Knicks came up short of winning the NBA title during that time and era. In game 7 i felt the Knicks had an excellent chance to win the title when Olajuwon picked up his BIG 5th foul with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and the Knicks didn't take advantage of that. I wanted Patrick and the Knicks to win an NBA title so badly, but they did give Hakeem and the Rockets an extremely tough time in the 1994 NBA Finals and made them earn it.

  • not saying didnt earn it because they totally did im saying after the struggles with bulls over the years and when we finally beat em this how it ends breaks my heart as a knicks fan they should've won this & maybe the one in 99 but guess i realize which team is the real choke city team

  • @metalmadness00 It was actually game 6 when Hakeem got into foul trouble. The Knicks run to the Finals in 1999, they're best shot of beating the Spurs was to get out and run up and down to court and keep it a fast past style, because the Spurs front-line with Tim Duncan and David Robinson was pretty tough to match up with in a half court game. But the series against the Houston Rockets in 1994 the Knicks definitely should've won that one. That championship was there for the taking.

  • well the arguement in the 1999 finals was that if the knicks were healthy they might've stood a better chance against the spurs it seems no matter what something stops the knicks from reaching the championship no wonder knick fans have become delusional that & 10 year plummet

  • @metalmadness00 That's exactly right and it wasn't like the Spurs couldn't be beaten because they can. It was just that the Knicks weren't fully healthy going into that series against the Spurs during that time. That was really the difference. But i'm still very proud of Patrick and the Knicks for giving it their best shot.

  • @jcabale17 he sure did. If Starks could have just made TWO MORE of those 18...

  • Reggie Miller disliked this video.

  • Now that the Knicks are finally a relevant team in the league again they need to bring back this intro

  • @WheresTheCheet will this create wins?

  • @WheresTheCheet AGREED.

  • This song always gave me goosebumps....

Aaaaaand at Center from Georgetown Number Thirty Three........

     PATrick Ewing!!!!!

  • Man, nothing like The Garden when it's rocking! SO GREAT to hear it rocking again these days. It's been so long since we've had a team we could be proud of.

Don't know how far they'll go this season, but 2011-2012 is going to be one hell of a ride

  • thumbs up if the knicks should bring this intro back

  • Jesus Christ, I remember getting so hyped when I saw this. If the Knicks ever make it back to the final, they should bring this baby out.

  • go NY go NY go!

  • I just sat here and smiled while this video played. We need to get a petition to get this song back on the intro. This and the bulls intro are the best ever. Too bad for us the bulls intro starts with "your world champion..."

  • Omg! Now that's how you do team introduction. 90's forever baby!

  • i'm a raptors fan, but i admit if the knicks were able to get carmelo and still keep guys like chandler and galinarri they'll be a verrrrrryyyyyyyy goood team

  • @JinxMeSomethinCrazy

Knicks came so close in 1994, John Starks was shooting bricks in Game 7.

  • that shot of the kid on his dad's shoulders @ 0:30, along with that fantastic music... i think i might cry

  • This intro gives me chills every time I watch it...brings me right back to watching this series and rooting for the Knicks as a 12-year-old kid.

  • The NBA is a joke now. Back in the 90's it was freakin awesome.

  • Height of the NBA safely say was 1984-2002. After that, its all gone downhill.

  • @msmith624

highest rated Finals were 97-98 Bulls V Jazz.

  • Hence my comment.

  • Fantastic memories of this intro, the music, crowd, the PA....GLORIOUS!!!!

  • im a nets fan but back in 1994 i rooted for the knicks also. This intro is tremendous!

  • Goosebumps. They better bring this intro back when the Knicks are good again, the Garden will go F'n nuts!!

  • Although the Knicks haven't done too well in recent seasons I would love to watch a Knicks and a Liberty game at Madison Square Garden! Too bad Knicks tickets are too pricey hahaha.... By the way basketball fans in New York, you all should pay attention to and watch the Liberty! GO NY GO NY GO (Liberty that is) all the way for the title!!

  • I wish as does everyone else that they would bring this intro back.

  • Epic...

  • EPIC

  • Lets get Chris Paul and we can start playing this audio again, can't let Gallo get in the way getting Chris Paul. Hornets want Gallo and Randolph, have to take Okafor for Curry's, u do it.

  • The days when the NBA was cool...when you didn't have tattoos and throwbacks...and teams actually played defense

  • goosebumps....

  • Pat the Rat

  • Damn it I miss the garden crowd that whole era where u couldn't miss a Knicks playoff game

  • I blame OJ Simpson for the Knicks losing in '94.

  • @NegativeX83 HA! I rember that. I could hardly watch game 7 cause of it. . ..

  • @NegativeX83 SAME. All the fucking interruptions on NBC.

  • @NegativeX83 WE ALL DO. All the fucking interruptions and shit.

  • Awesome intro bring it back please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • counting down the days till we see this again!!!!! GO NY GO NY GO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finally, found it!

  • @iamhungey12345 Hey bro can you msg me that link, thanks??

  • There is a page on facebook that supports bringing back this entrance music. It is called "Bring back the Knicks Entrance Music of the 90's" I heard that if there are enough members, the Knicks will bring this music back for 2010-2011

  • This is so fantastic! I cannot wait for May-June 2011 when the Knicks go deep in the playoffs again!

  • Comment removed

  • Im not a Knicks fans, but I always loved this opening! You guys will be cursed until you bring this back! lol

  • I'm not a hardcore Knicks fan. As a big time NBA and WNBA fan however, you gotta love Madison Square Garden, the GO NEW YORK GO NEW YORK theme, and Mike Walczewski as the public address announcer for the Knicks or the Liberty! I miss Mike or whoever is public addressing that Liberty game introducing Becky Hammon by the way.

  • Chills up the spine no matter how long ago nor how many times I see this. All Knicks fans have the same reaction to these old memories.

  • i just got chills watching this. hasnt been like that in 11 years. wow.

  • I think it's unanimous. The Knicks NEED TO BRING THIS SONG BACK!!

They got rid of this song and they've sucked ever since. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING THIS INTRO BACK!! It's not like the Knicks have given us anything to cheer the last 10 fucking years. Give us back that song, if only to remember the good old days. :(

  • this makes me think of the greatest time to be a Knicks fan..... Thank You Ewing!

  • i get goosebumps every time i see this intro. The Knicks will be back this summer and lets kick some ass. NYK ALL DAY

  • This is the real NEW YORK

  • can someone start a petition to bring back the go ny go ny go intro?

  • @JSimp140 in a heartbeat, but who the fuck would listen to us? that pansy ass dolan?

  • Ewing was great.... if anyone says otherwise look beyond his numbers... LOOK AT HIS SUPPORTING CAST

  • im a Laker fan but this is the best starting line up intro in the NBA i hope the knicks bring this one back

  • do you have the intro for the 94 conference finals game 7 or 99 finals game 3?
