  • I just found her listening to my Pentangle station Pandora.

  • Sweet Jesus. If anything, her voice and phrasing have improved over the years. No studio tricks on this recording either.

  • Cool! :)

  • What a combination... Two folk legends!

  • Brilliant. Bridgets voice with the guitar is 'one entity'...in this respect she is akin to John Martyn. Id love to see her perform, one of the originals from the UK progressive acoustic era ...top notch stuff this.-Ian

  • What beautiful guitar playing, wish I could invoke that peace.

  • Fantastic find ... listened to Bridget, s old albums a few days ago .. and was very glad to find this posting ... whoever did it ... bravo ... more please ... . Bridgette is a great overlooked talent .. + Chapman .. very symathetic accomp. ... merci .

  • mooi!!

  • This is a great tribute to john martyn, thanks for this, love bridget always thought of her being the female version to nick drake, well sorta ;).

  • I have always ranked Bridget St John as one of the greatest acoustic ballad singers of her generation equal to Bert Jansch, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Donavan etc. Bridget has the ability to hold an audience and transmit a unique and very special quality through live performance especially, but also in the recording studio, to melt even the hardest of hearts. A rare gift. Cheers Bridget!

  • you sound better than ever!

    sweeter than Joan or Joni.

hope to see you live one day.

  • The River was the first song I heard by Bridget on John Peels Top Gear way back in the 60's ! It is still my favourite-but I have loved her material ever since. I still have her vinyl and have rebought on CD!

  • Wow...I just stumbled onto this by accident. I last saw her live at Portsmouth Polytechnic in 1976!!!

Bought an album on Dandylion Label which had something to do with John Peel. Syill got it in a box under thestairs somewhere at home! Love it!!!

  • Ive still got my autographed vinyl from 1970! Bristol Uni Folk Club. I hear a tour in 2010 - bliss. Wherever it is Im going!! Phil Plymouth Devon!

  • How much for the LP ?? ahaha

  • i have to say that she just keeps on getting better with age.

  • Absolutely Wonderful!

Thank you for your beautiful Songs.

    John
