Nori Bucci is a very schooled guitarist and I wouldn't be surprised if most of that skill comes natural to her. If you notice out of these 3 guitarists, Nori has the most unique style of improvisation. She is a universal type of player. She is very expressive. She could master any style or composition in Jazz/Fusion at the drop of a hat! She does well working against gravity with her guitar pick. Nori sounds like other greats from her past like John McLaughlin yet she has originality.
Wow, I remember Jennifer Batten, brings back memories. Couldn't pick up an issue of Guitar Player back in the 80's and not see her name. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, she wrote a regular column for them. I never read it though. Pentatonic, Aeolian, Phyrigian it's all Greek to me ... oh, look, I made a funny. Maybe someday I'll get someone to explain scales and modes to me.
See for example, I like the first girl better than Malmsteem, becouse somewhere along the way Malmsteem stoped putting in classical bits in his rock playing. He just started shredding the neo classical stuff and the rock bit became lame.

I believe women and men to be equally well at guitar. i have only seen a handful of women play guitar but they all play far beyond well. it proves that women are just as aggressive as men and if their influences are men then the student almost always surpasses the teacher. male guitarists are a dime a dozen but women guitarists are one in a million. so if its the way to put real guitar playing back on the map(not guitar hero ) so be it. i am GREEN but not with envy:)

all are great player but for me carina alfie is better than boht of the other player because she got feel ,technique and speed. she also not doing just alternate picking she is using various techniques. hadas has great feel. nori bucci also god feel and speed too. thumbs up for three of them

There have been no shortage of short male players. Dave Murray is only like 5'3" and Rick Derringer isn't going to dunk anything more than a donut in some coffee, either. Women, generally speaking, aren't as athletic as males, so maybe that is part of the unnatural look. But I love these women on this video. Great stuff. I wish there were more women players. Give us guys something to look at.
Nori Bucci has far more harmonic invention than the others, even if they all have astounding skills, Jennifer Batten has a sense of rhythm above the others, but Nori Bucci has an integrity to her music. I wouldn't say it if I didn't think it worth saying.
Well, if she sound like petrucci, doesn´t mean than she will always be a poor original- guitarist... (If she is), its just her influences... besides, one gets better and with an unike stile while the time pass... An yes, many of this girls, in my opinion, play very well, but the lack of a solid team in wich they can move, it´s the big problem (except for Carina Alfie and Lori Linstruth)

I think the reason is in the size. Guitars were made by 6ft tall males *for* 6ft tall males. Women are much smaller on average; you can see how Carina and Nori are struggling with the size of guitar body. After all, how many *male* short guitarists have you seen?
I agree about both points, first off all yeah, the breasts do make the guitar stand out more but even when they play guitar with a longer strap and so it's below the breasts it still looks strange to me. Therefore I think it's a combination of both of your points.
I think that these three musicians are awesome technicians but I prefer when guitarists show a little more of "feeling" when they play... But I'ts just my opinion and these three ones are really great performers!

I think the reason is in the size. Guitars were made by 6ft tall males *for* 6ft tall males. Women are much smaller on average; you can see how Carina and Nori are struggling with the size of guitar body. After all, how many *male* short guitarists have you seen?

I agree about both points, first off all yeah, the breasts do make the guitar stand out more but even when they play guitar with a longer strap and so it's below the breasts it still looks strange to me. Therefore I think it's a combination of both of your points.

I think that these three musicians are awesome technicians but I prefer when guitarists show a little more of "feeling" when they play... But I'ts just my opinion and these three ones are really great performers!
