  • Thank-You for Sharing Frank! <3 xo

  • best version here on you tube, thanks....

    this was my youth....

musik wie diese, BW Parka und bonanza fahrrad, hitparade samstags,

    etc.

    unbeschwerte zeiten damals....

  • Thanks for posting this great TOTP video. The Sweet sound absolutely phenomenal and it's great to see them at their best.

  • This song is amazing, so too was Brian Connolly. I would have loved to have been around when Sweet were playing. Even when Brian and the New Sweet were playing I would have rather seen them than Steve Priest or Andy Scott despite Brian's ill health.

  • fuck this song rules

  • Oh, the memories.

  • Theres a 80's band called Mad Max who sang this song. They SUCKED !!!! Brian, Andy, Steve, and Mick were the best !!!! R.I.P Brian and Mick. Rock on Andy and Steve !!!!!!

  • the sweet were much more than a glam rock band but never got the recognition they deserved . poor management as well as other things robbed them of true greatness rip brian and mick you like will never be seen again so too sir jimmy saville !!!

  • Does anyone know what sitcom this song was used for in 1975? It's been bugging me for years.

  • Brian Connolly could be He-man's little brother.

  • R.I.P. BRIAN MATE!

  • He should've got together with that bird who did chirpy chirpy cheep cheep. His n hers haircuts. A bit like Brian May and his Mrs.

  • The shirt Brian wear looks a lot of the Feyenoord shirt of 74' only that one was red/white and not black/white. Tremendous song, love the Sweet !!

  • Is Russel Crowe the host???? Excellen SWEET forever :)

  • @margonca17 That's Noel Edmonds. He's a 'popular' tv host. He presented top of the pops during the 1970s, and went on to work on many tv shows. He's currently the host of the British edition of 'Deal or no deal'

  • @abbafan50986 Thanks for the info. Is because he looks like Russell Crowe, the actor. That show never pass in my country but what I see in youtube is so good. Greetings. =)

  • looking forward to seeing them at live and kicking in sudbury, suffolk on sunday 28th August

  • I played this in a pub on my first pint f in brill

  • its almost crazy how much they improved from the first verse to the second

  • CLASSIC!!!! LOVED THIS SINCE I WAS A KID!!!! AWESOME TUNE,,,I THINK THEY WERE RATHER HEAVY FOR BACK THEN!!:)

  • SUPER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brian Connolly was the most charismatic ,brilliant front man to ever grace the TOTP stage ! As soon as the presenter announced the band ,Brian immediately commanded the attention of the viewer; he was irreplacable .!

  • @TheHumbuckerboy A, such a tragedy what happened to him and how the music business ate him alive. RIP Brian and Mick 2 stellar talents!

  • @edgroove7 Yeah, Brian was such a unique and gifted performer and vocalist and Mick was definitely one of the most under-rated drummers in the business. There were lots of memorable characters in this era of music for sure !

  • Mick Tucker is still the best stick twirler I've ever seen - check it out @ 2:15 (plus lots of other clips!!! R.I.P. Mick, hope you and Brian are making lots of great music together up there (or wherever you are!!)

  • @RickEStereo They must be in the place that is the final destination for every big rocker, whether it's glam rock or death metal... And as far as I believe, in there the fox is still on the run :)

  • Unfortunately, the last number one in Germany, just a real big Sweethit and Andy, Mick, Steve and Brian wrote yourself.

  • Is this suppose to belive? Coz its all lip synced and the drummer isent playing the drums to what the music is playing o.0

  • @Tulip4312 It's TOTP and no live-gig. (Almost) every band did not play live in such tv shows. From 1972 on the bands had to make a seperat record of the song they wanted to "play" just before the show... It's not live, but it is also not the normal studio-version which is known from the 7"

  • is noel edmunds still a cunt ?

  • @paulthepill YES !

  • @lezzliea nice t meet like minded people...

  • @paulthepill You're welcome,Edmonds is just another corporate whore.

  • Ace Frehley did an awesome remake of this song a year or two ago. Worth checking out.

  • Outstanding glam rock band. The Sweet were a part of my early teenage school days when music was real, and you you spent your pocket money in the record shop on a Saturday afternoon...they were the days...thank you for posting nyrainbow4

  • Sweetly Superb!!!

  • sweet were underated queen gay and overated swet influenced the early punk scene and carried on as a great rock band nuff said

  • Uwielbiam! Uwielbiam! Uwielbiam! :)

  • best band of the 70s

  • brian looks awesome, my first hero.

  • AWESOMENESS! They ROCK!

  • The Sweet broke into the music scene in the 70s, while Queen in the 80s,

could have been close rivals.. both great talents,& showmanship..

  • @thornysubject

Queen has their first album out in the UK in 1973 so they were contemporaries of The Sweet, but by 1975 (when this came out) we had the end on the glam rock era and were only 18 months away from Punk Rock

  • To jest super muzyka, takiej to warto posłuchać.

    Pozdrawiam.

  • This was the peak....fame at this level is reached by so few...they made it.....and what a drummer!

  • Steve's piercing blue eyes....hypnotizing!

  • I dont know why but im rreally fixed on steve priest...i dont know why!!?? Im transed by him he is sucking my soul in lol!

  • @rocker70sman the poor guy looks like Jabba The Hut nowadays!

  • Great glam band, great tune! as a friend says, it sounds similar to Queen

  • wait the guitar and bass guitar arent plugged in!?

  • suuuper Lied

  • love his Feyenoordshirt !! Sweet is great !!

  • @nwleeuw who is wearing the feyennoord shirt??

  • @456japan brian connoly the singer wears the feyenoord shirt (old style)

  • @nwleeuw Echt waar?

  • @nwleeuw Really? Was this a 1970s Feyenoord away kit? In the UK we only saw the green one they beat Spurs in for the 74 UEFA Cup, never saw them play in black and white.

  • @nwleeuw In welk jaar speelde Feyenoord dan in dat tenue?

  • A drumstick twirl that has never been equaled. LOVE IT!

  • Tucker was a kick ass drummer

  • First self-written A-side by Seet. Great Song! Brian & Mick - sadly missed, but never forgotten. R.I.P.!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!! R.I.P. Brian & Mick! I miss you!!

  • Coole Band!G!R!E!A!T! Brian & Mick R.I.P.

  • Thanks for this classic rock tune! Oh tne memories!

  • Love This Song!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very ! He would'nt look out of place as a Droog in Clockwork orange !

  • That bassist got some really nasty looks...

  • Ace Frehley made a great cover last year (2009)

  • @erikk73

Oh yeah, I think that one is better :D

This is reallt great too, offcourse...

  • I have listen this song about a week ago, and I can't get out of my mind...

  • I dig this song....it gets stuck in my head and then..hell...I want to dance :)

  • excellent

  • It was downhill for them in the UK after this, alas, but this is still tremendous, a rock bite (which they'd previously been forced to confine to their B-sides) distilled into three radio-friendly minutes as few others knew how ... and their follow-up "Action" *really* is proto-punk.

  • @RobinCarmody Love Is Like Oxygen was a big hit 3 years later for them

  • Man, I love the Sweet...god help me!
