This game single-handedly made me buy an Xbox 360. Seriously, I walked into Tesco, looked at ttop ten Wii games and saw this at number 1 and said, "That's it - I'm buying an Xbox 360 with GTA IV."

I have this game and I WOULD reccomend it. The controls probably werent working for you becuase you said "put one forward and the other one backwards" that isnt what you do. You put the nunchuck upwards to go left, and the wii remote upwards to go right. It really isnt that difficult. It took me and my friends about 10 minutes to get the feel of it, and then it was pretty easy to control from there. I reccomend it to any horse lover of any age, I loved it!

I actually found the steering easy. It was sensitive and really not that complicated. I completed it in a couple of days with a gold trophy for every event. Repetitive... yes. but skip it... No. It's probably my top horse game because I can pick it up easily without having to trawl through some crappy storyline.
If parents are looking for a good Wii horse game, I thought Horse Life Adventures was pretty good compared to this game. You might try doing a review on it if you haven't already. The major problem I saw occasionally with Horse Life was that sometimes the controls wouldn't respond fast enough, if at all. Then the minor problems was that you could only be a girl, the plot wasn't all that vast, and almost every character was blond. Other than that it was fun. You should try playing/reviewing it
The controls are difficult(for me anyway, I bought a used one) and the first few times I turn it works, then a little while later it doesn't and I was turning the same way before
What I find quite interesting about this review is that they must have taken all your suggestions on board when they made My Horse and Me 2, which is quite a fun and easy game.
I do own and ride horses and would love to find a good simulation game to help teach my young children to ride. Any riders out there have recommendations of all the horse games out there?
I wish that they would make a good horse game for once. I would like a game where you can actually design your own horse farm and actually have options that YOU get to choose from and get to own multiple horses while also being able to compete in show jumping, dressage, and eventing. I found the game Gallop and Ride and I really like it, but you dont get to create your own stable. And the competitions are not realistic horse competitions.

you don't design your farm but in horsez 2 you can breed and ride freely and own up to 10 horses,you compete in show jumping,cross country and steeplechase around the world
horsez club you can tame wild horses and keep up to 1 in your pasture (the other horses you have are rescues you get through the game)
it pretty much a wild horse rescue game but you can compete in show jumping,cross country and steeple chase

it ture, the controls are very hard to master, and my cosin (who is five) cried becuase she could get the controls right, i tried playing, and it took me 20 min just to get my name in, but luckly after a week or two i got the hang of it and it became very fun, i ended up in the championship, i would recomend this for teenagers that enjoy horses.

The Wii motion things makes most of the Wii games fail... I think Nintendo and well known third party companies (Capcom) should be the only ones to use this feature since they at least make decent jobs if not excellent (Galaxy, Zack and Wicky)

hi, i ride horses and found the game to be perfectly matching that natural way a JUMPER should control their horse. and please don't say stuff that you hae no idea about. i am a competive Jumper and this is how a REAL comptetion would go. they score you on the time and faults. my 4 year old sister who DOESN'T RIDE can control the horse better then you. i showed her in 5 min and watched her play for an hour. i find this ever offinsive to the really equestrians in the world.
I found the game extremely fun, and challenging. I ride horses, so I guess that's why I got it so easily. At first the controls were hard, but once I got it, it was fine. I think you're right about it not being easy for children, but personally I don't think it IS a game for kids. It requires a lot of patience first off, but mostly it entices a lot of frustration. lol. But it was fun, so I thought.

Its not easy to ride a horse.You cant get up on a horse and Think you are the best(Which some in the stable i ride in think)

The Wii motion things makes most of the Wii games fail... I think Nintendo and well known third party companies (Capcom) should be the only ones to use this feature since they at least make decent jobs if not excellent (Galaxy, Zack and Wicky)
but not always since it can get frustrating and people just want to play the games like the old days...

I thought this game looks like loads of fun!
I didn't think this review was accurate due to a complete equestrian-retarded person reviewing it.
Look when you actually KNOW how to ride a horse and enjoy jumping this game is perfect. And what do you know about little kids not enjoying the game??!
I know plenty of young horseloving kids that cannot get enough of it. So you just need to stick with reviewing games you actually know about.

I agree I ride horses and i hate when people think that they can ride a horse also probaly if you dont like horses obviously you won't like people who like/ride horses will find it more appealing

hi, i ride horses and found the game to be perfectly matching that natural way a JUMPER should control their horse. and please don't say stuff that you hae no idea about. i am a competive Jumper and this is how a REAL comptetion would go. they score you on the time and faults. my 4 year old sister who DOESN'T RIDE can control the horse better then you. i showed her in 5 min and watched her play for an hour. i find this ever offinsive to the really equestrians in the world.

I found the game extremely fun, and challenging. I ride horses, so I guess that's why I got it so easily. At first the controls were hard, but once I got it, it was fine. I think you're right about it not being easy for children, but personally I don't think it IS a game for kids. It requires a lot of patience first off, but mostly it entices a lot of frustration. lol. But it was fun, so I thought.

yes the game controls were hard, but it took me 5 days of game play to get it right! after i got it i beat the game in 3 hours.
