Yeah Jack and Balthazaar are doing great. They've doubled in size and I've even added a little African Cichlid to the family. They seem to be doing well.

my oscars are little they are onle about 1 inch and my pleco is 2 inches

My two oscars are currently in a 70 gallon tank. I want to move them to the 200, but I have turtles in it and the floor might not hold all that weight. Do you think they'll do okay in the 70 gallon?

@watchmenfan2 i would keep one when they get large, until then you should have happy oscars with proper water-parameters and aquarium maintanence

my jack dempsey has recently become more agressive towards my oscar the dempsey is about 6-7 inches and the oscar is about 11 inches should i seperate them? the oscar does not become agressive enough towards the dempsey it just backs up into the corner.. dempsey has bitten oscar i have a 6ft 450L tank. Should i seperate them as i dont want to risk the life of the oscar

hey could you help me out i have tried to keep a oscar's sevral differnt times but they always die with n the first week i know there messy fish but i have a a top fin 60 filter a aqua tech 30 60 filter and also a fluval 305 canister filter could u help me with the secret i think oscar fish are beautiful but i cnt keep them alive

@jacksonjones402 Is ur tank fully cycled? It can take a few days to a few weeks depending on what kind of method u use.

Too many sharp objects in there! My Oscar would have looked like a grenade blew up on his head if he was in your tank. He would freak the f out and smash into the lid and glass. Sad to say he is now dead.

I have the exact same piece of wood in my aquarium as you! My oscar is a baby/ juvinile and he went into one of the two holes and was inside there for 2 hours.

One day you'll discover oscars and dempseys do not get along. Dempseys have a reputation for ripping up oscars out of the blue once they are mature. I learned the hard way myself...LOL. Nice tank though.

if you have black substrate it will bring out the colors of your Jack Dempsey better.
