its now pretty slow but extremely slow lol..

i was driving 1.8mivec but one idiot trying to challenge me with this city model.

got smelled and lost far away less than 4seconds.

thats pretty slow for a 1.5L engine. my civic 1.6L can do 0-100 in 9 seconds

It's the paddle shift. You can override the gear to higher or lower in D mode or shift the gear manually in S mode.

But stick shift is still faster and more economy.

@patrickbugatti Those are the radio controls buttons. There are 2 versions of the City with different accessories.

its actually 10.4 sec for 0-100

if you notice the driver hits the throttle 1 sec after the time was started

and i used my stop watch too!

it turned out to be 10.4 sec !

Sure is wonderful! you've auto transmission which makes it even better! I have a city 1.3L manual transmission and it reached 100 in 12.6 s! it's drive is definitely the best in it's class and the sporty power it gives in high RPM is surely the beauty of Honda city's I VTEC engine! 1.3 makes it more economical to run!

just wonder .... how come ur rpm climb so fast ... where mine slow n will change around 3-5k rpm . plus .... its quite loud ( engine )

that's fast for the new city. considering that the gearing is biased on economical gearing:p with high octane you should time in around 11 sec. the jazz is faster at 10 seconds.. but both city and jazz better than vios, the vios reaches 100km/hr in 12.6 seconds. notice the difference in performance, honda definetely changed the rules=)

oh.. not bad.. i used the paddle shift n i used the drift box to giv me the exact time.. i clocked 11.7sec wit 1 passenger wit me n wit the fuel tank full...so basically extra 100+kg of weight.. xD would done it betta if i had RON97 fuel or V-power fuel (was using RON95)

I use the shell V power fuel. It's more expensive than normal petrol but non of my friend's new city can win mine when it comes to straight stretch acceleration.

I manage to get 0-100km/h under 11 secs :-)

the RPM didn't reach 7000. It's bouncing back when it reached the red line.

I tried S mode also, but it didn't get better than D mode.

I tested with 10% ethanol fuel (Gasohal 95). I should get a better result if I use premium or regular gas (91or 95).

Can you try it with the S mode and see if you can get less than 11 seconds?

The acceleration is slightly better in S mode, from my experience with the 2006 city VTEC I think there's an approximately boost of 500RPM. The disadvantage is that the fuel consumption rate is increased.

nope, I use D mode for the test.

I tried manual shift also, but time was little bid behind D mode. (maybe I didn't shift at the right time)

@TaAnimator the fuel tank is full.. that is some extra weight into the car.. and maybe someone else was in the car (not sure).. it would of course give better results if the car tank was empty and the empty light was glowing.. i think that's how they test it at the factory..
