Have you ever been to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan? This song reminds me so much of where I live in the Keweenaw Peninsula (the part that juts the furthest into Lake Superior). I laughed my butt off at this song. Very good stuff, keep it up :)

That whole mess passed North of the Minneapolis, Saint Paul area a few hours ago. My nephew up in Vergas, which is close to Fargo got 12 inches. As you know, I-94 has been shut down in stretches. I saw the impressive damage from a winter ice storm this spring in Harding County,SD. Every single telephone/power pole was snapped off that ran East to West. If more than a handful of people lived there, it would of made the National News. 7000 total poles snapped. The Prairie Grass was still standing
The ice on the wires and the wind caused the poles to snap-off just a few feet about ground level. You could drive East/West roads for 12 to 15 miles and not see one standing pole remaining. I also saw dozens of dead bloated frozen sheep and cattle that were caught in that same ice storm. Not that I knew them other than in passing, but a couple ranchers over the last 15 years in Harding county made the mistake of driving the back roads in blizzard conditions. They froze to death.

Hey Reina; I just listened to this like the 5th time & the first I was living at the foot of the San Francisco Peaks outside of Flagstaff, AZ. I could empathize since we averaged 110 inches of snow a season & I once went out to try to drive to class at NAU at 8:30 AM With a clear sky & when my truck wouldn't start even with an engine block heater I checked the thermometer & when it read 54 below I went back in front of the wood stove & drank hot chocolate with MANY marshmallows...

I too thought Reina should of gotten first place. Reina did make runner up though! NonsenseMusic lived up to his billing and played nonsensical! I do have to say his bizzare song started to become humorous a few seconds into the video. I assume he was trying to be humorous. Gosh, I hope so!
I also strongly disagree with songsfromahat for picking that weird bass song over this song. It seems like the only attributes of his song were his ability to play bass and the overall whimsical quality. Reina's song was far cleverer and musically superior. You would have won my song contest, Reina.

Reina and Abby, appear to be friends, so I am sure there was fear of having the contest look there was favoritism involved. When you get into subjective competition like this, you want to avoid that image at all cost.
As far as coolness for musical instruments, a base or double base would be my first choice. A tuba for sure would rank in my top 10 musical instruments.
Just as a correction to my post, I wanted the word bass and not base. Somedays I just spell things phonetically. I need to do a little more proof-reading before I post
Wow. You guys must be the only two non-Tubists on the planet who appreciate the tuba. I obviously love it. To me, there is nothing that can match the beauty of the low sonorous sound. Bass is also nice, but to me, it lacks the round tone.

I also strongly disagree with songsfromahat for picking that weird bass song over this song. It seems like the only attributes of his song were his ability to play bass and the overall whimsical quality. Reina's song was far cleverer and musically superior. You would have won my song contest, Reina.

Reina and Abby, appear to be friends, so I am sure there was fear of having the contest look there was favoritism involved. When you get into subjective competition like this, you want to avoid that image at all cost.

Wow. You guys must be the only two non-Tubists on the planet who appreciate the tuba. I obviously love it. To me, there is nothing that can match the beauty of the low sonorous sound. Bass is also nice, but to me, it lacks the round tone.

What a travesty! ReinaDelCid Nation unite. Just kidding...I don't want to incite a riot. I went back a couple of times, checked out the eventual winner, and compared his composition to yours. I have to say, I just don't get how his song is a better representation of the weather. I would say it is more bizarre. But bizarre doesn't equal blizzard. No disrespect to nonsensemusic, but on the strange scale his song is top ten material while yours was a little more creative...IMHO.

I think Abby speaks a little Spanish. Or at least she appears to in one of her videos. That's probably how she knew the true pronunciation.
