not a good performance. he lacks air, tone stability etc...the band is shitty as well. they dont even sing the backing vocals. i hate "musicians" like them, who think they are gods at their instruments but still unable to sing backing vocals...but great songs though! i liked the old lightning strikes live version with the 3 black chicks more..

Do a net search, it's all over the net. I can't post the URL because YT won't allow it it. Just type in Lou Christie Octaves & scan. One jumps out & says:

Christie's four-octave voice. Just keep browsing the net. Honestly, this video does him no justice at all. He is way off here, by the length of his hair, this was his drug years, he hit some really bad notes here. The Doowop show had an interview with him, I could have sworn he said 5 octaves? Anyway, search the net.

Rob Halford of Judas Priest has a four octave range and he has more fuller high notes than Lou Christie. I enjoy both singers, but anyone can claim to have an extensive range when it comes to singing. Other singers with an incredible range include Roy Orbison, Nilsson, Paul McCartney, Jim Gillette, Engelbert Humperdinck, Tom Jones, John Fogerty, Elvis.....I could go on and on.....
